Skip to primary content. July 2, 2012. Så hadde jeg grått mine modige tårer på en minibuss til Angel Albino Corzo, hovedflyplassen i Chiapas. Jeg griner jo for alt og ingenting, så så veldig rart er det vel ikke. Men likefult. Dette er ting som er verdt å grine for. Jeg hadde nettopp forlatt San Cristóbal, byen som jeg har kalt for ‘hjemme’ de siste 5 månedene. Så takk, takk brigaden, takk LAG og takk koordinatorer! Takk for et sykt fint halvår! Det er varmt og frodig her, man kan bestige vulkaner, slappe av ved innsjøer, spise god mat og skli akkurat passelig inn og ut blant turister og lokale. Mayanes historie er spennende og står sterkt, verdens største utgravde ruiner har di også etterlatt her. Mayaene var små folk. Den gjennomsnittlige guatemaler er også det, tydeligvis. Seks mal maisen for hånd, dette tar tid. gjør det to ganger, slik at melet blir klumpfritt og fint. 7 tilsett vann og lag en deig. 8 ta små klumper med deig, klapp de ut til flate små runninger, om du gjør det for hånd. har du tortillapresse så legger du plast over og under deigen, før du klemmer den flat.

June 6, 2014. So this is where I live! Despite the springish winter weather, I love it here! I’m relaxed and I feel at home. Even though I’m not ready for it now, with studies coming up and all, I truly want to live here some day. The stay in Joburg was more… Thoughtful…. The visit to the apartheid museum taught me a lot about history and about the people’s stories from that time. And to be in South Africa at the time of Mandela’s death was quite a powerful feeling. Cape Point was very… Windy!
