Monday, June 06, 2011. The DongXi (东西 dōngxi) Shop. These shops are one of the closest things I've found to garage sales in C-Land in that you just never know what you may find in them—and in that what you find is usually pretty cheap. The DongXi Shops are also especially useful to the crafty mind. I never cease to confuse the shop owners as I evaluate the use of wire mesh for displaying photographs, or piping to act as a flagpole or to be made into mini hurdles. Links to this post. Monday, August 20, 2012. Convenience Is A Wonderful Thing. The grand total of 18 bills, covering 18 months of water was 663.40 yuan (roughly 100 USD)- - amazing! Now granted, while some of the bills were for before I even moved into my apartment, the vast majority of them I have to take responsibility for. Friday, July 24, 2009. Pinky why so Angular? I jammed my pinky, I chanced to look at it and notice that it was at an exact perpendicular angle to the rest of my hand. Ironically enough, we were playing basketball at the Kunming Medical University, and the hospital was just around the block. So we walked down the block, and commenced the circus that is a Chinese hospital:. 1 Go to entry window and pay 6rmb for the initial consultation. 3 Take form down the hall to x-ray room. 7 Take x-rays back to Doctor 1.
