This little painting (16.5″ x 21.5″ framed, oil and acrylic on canvas) was sold in a silent auction Feb. 21st, on the Island in Marshall, N.C. In 1979 I studied Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts, graduating in 1982 before beginning my career as a fulltime artist. And a walk along a river bank is bliss. The Pilbara and Kimberly regions of WA, the desert country to and around Alice Springs, where the vastness, openness and diversity of the country and its people, have had an incredible impact on how I now approach my work.

Elizabeth Mary Theodora Mawer. Nee Abraham) formerly Stokes. Elizabeth Mawer died peacefully after a short illness on the 10. Of September at the Regency House Nursing home in Cardiff aged 78. There was a Requiem Mass. At St Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Church, Chapel Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex on Monday the 25. Of September followed by a cremation. The Cremation was followed by a party at the Royal Burnham Yacht Club. Elizabeths ashes will be scattered on the river Crouch at some future date.
