“Good Game, Good Game” | Elizabeth W. Gibson - Fine Artist
https://elizabethwgibson.wordpress.com/2012/06/08/good-game-good-game
Elizabeth W. Gibson – Fine Artist. 8220;Good Game, Good Game”. Yay, it’s finished! Last Memorial Day I was in Charlottesville, VA with friends and family. We visited some of the wineries in the area and found one that hosts polo games on Sundays. My goal was to finish it before this past Memorial Day and I did, I’m just a little slow in posting to the blog. Here is what the original photo looked like –. By bitsy on June 8, 2012. Elizabeth W. Gibson – Fine Artist. 8220;Summer Flame”. I’ve been working on this painting off and on for 9 months and I can finally say it is finished. Some things are worth waiting for, don’t you agree? Now that it is complete I will take you through the step by step process. First the reference photo of the flowers. The light is coming from several votive candles placed on the table near the flower arrangement, creating dramatic lighting and color. By bitsy on January 31, 2013. Posted in finished work.

Elizabeth W. Gibson – Fine Artist. Here are a few of the paintings I’ve completed in the last few months –. This portrait was commissioned as a Christmas gift. Also, dioxazine purple for shadows and violet oxide mixed with burnt umber and some sepia for the very dark shadows. 8221; was completed in a few hours, world record time for me! This will be...

Blooming Colours – Painting a colorful life in watercolor and acrylics. Helen Shideler, CSPWC. Toss the Old Goat – and Apparently the New One Too! Somethings are just not meant to be a poured painting. I even have blisters on two fingers from this painting – and well, the old goat has been shredded – and the new goat will not be far behind! Every now and then it happens. And I knew it as it was happening. But for some reason I forged ahead. Not once but TWICE! Start over I said. And start over I did&...

Life in the Studio. Posted on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 12:07pm. Jelly Beans – More WIP. Hey, back with some more jelly beans under construction. Time for some background work. I began by covering the jelly beans and dish with Press’n Seal plastic wrap and sealing the edge with masking fluid. This can be a little tricky as the paint can sometimes leak under the wrap. With the base colors established I then began to work on how to create the wood grain in the table. I tried using plastic wrap, ne...

Elizabeth Grayson - Singer, Actress
Photo by Dan Demetriad. Greensboro Opera-Menotti’s The Telephone. One can hear influences from several composers in Menotti’s score, especially Mozart. This was nowhere more apparent than in Lucy’s arias, where Grayson s coloratura passages were delivered with clarity and brilliance. Her repeated Hello, hello answer to the ringing machine became more and more humorous. Her acting was first ratea delight to watch! Camelot - Augusta Opera.
