Friday, 31 July 2009. Day 175 ( Frid 31st). By the time you read this update it will be the 1st of the month, so ‘white rabbits’ to everyone and welcome back to Manchester from Ella and Nanna. We have had a really good day again today, after a comfortable night. What more can I say? Needless to say a plumber was called….but didn’t arrive. Tuesday, 31 March 2009. Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a good night, as we did here…….in the end. In fact Ella’s night ended at 12.30 this afternoon! She had the longest lie- in ever. (Practising for when she’s sixteen I think.) All her regular visitors, physio,teacher and of course the Drs kept coming back, in the hopes that she had woken up . Thursday, 30 April 2009. Hi, and welcome back to us. I’m actually sat here at the beginning of day 85. It’s 4.30am and I’ve just taken over from Sally. We just ran out of steam last night to write the blog, so I’m on catch up. All of the rest of the morning centred around planning menus, with Ella willing to try anything( except cakes ). Saturday, 31 January 2009. Day-5, 5th day of conditioning treatment. Another gentle start to the day.as I found Ella and Rachael "having a lie in" when I got onto the ward at 7.00am. I rattled a few toys and cups of tea which had the desired affect. Ella enjoyed a lovely shower followed by a pamper morning, which included having her toe nails painted (by Auntie Rachael ). Thursday, 25 June 2009. What a heading eh? The other major change of course is that Ella has been allowed to have LITTLE tastes of drinks or food. As long as it can be aspirated back through her tube she can taste it. Soooo today she has had 2 tspns of mushroom soup, 3 tspns of tomato soup, 4 tspns of jelly and an assortment of sips of juice.
