Wednesday, September 16, 2009. I grew up going to the Lorain County Fair in Ohio. Although my sister showed cows or steers, I was always too afraid of those big beasts, so I took sheep and rabbits. Sunday, March 29, 2009. First hike of the year. Chuck, Charlotte and I headed back to Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary for a spring time hike. Charlotte was back in the backpack.10 pounds heavier and a little more squiggly, but she still liked it. Friday, May 22, 2009. Bicycle Built for Two. We borrowed the the bikes at the Inn and went on a little bike ride. Charlotte seemed to like riding behind Daddy. Charlotte and I just got back from three weeks in Madison, WI visiting my sister and spending time with my Dad. Sunday, November 1, 2009. We had a lot of Halloween fun this year with Charlotte. She seemed to understand the concept a little better than last year! We read books about dressing up in costumes and going trick-or-treating to get her in the spirit. She liked being a ladybug. As soon as I showed her the costume (thanks Lisa! She began to point out ladybugs in all her books. We just went to two houses trick-or-treating, then we sat on our front porch and handed out candy. It was a fun night! I wonder what ...

Monday, August 17, 2009. Crab Feast and Happy Birthday, Grandma Babs! Grandma Babs celebrated a big birthday milestone in Maryland with the whole family. The whole. Family travel to Maryland for the weekend. In honor of Babs we had a huge crab feast on Sunday. We order two bushels of crabs (about 12 dozen crabs! Everyone took a turn at the crab table, picking and eating yummy crab and drinking beer (of course! We'll be eating well this fall. Before the feast began, two bushels of yummy Maryland Blue Crabs.
