Jungle Book: December 2011

The joy of relaxing in bed while listening to your two children and husband sleep. During the middle of the day). Especially if the reason is that you are in a beautiful mountain town on vacation and you can just sleep whenever you want! I am sure you are wondering why I am not sleeping as well - - it has been a curse of mine, since college, to be unable to take naps in the middle of the day. Unless horribly sleep deprived or very ill). And today I am neither of those things. In order to have time to get...

Jungle Book: Two Trips - Double the Fun.
http://husersjunglebook.blogspot.com/2015/02/two-trips-double-fun.html
Two Trips - Double the Fun. Have you ever had to carry a 20 pound baby on one hip and a bucket of food on the other while traipsing through ankle deep mud? If not, I wouldn’t recommend it. Unless you are wanting to test your patience level. However, if you are one of these braves souls you should also bring a 3 and 4 year old with you to run under your feet so when they slip and fall and splatter mud all over themselves it can nasty you as well. Our nightly church services are growing and they are eager ...

It is uncanny how waiting for a baby to be born can unearth every imaginable (and un-imaginable) emotion in a human being. The mother to be is uncomfortable and irritable (which can lead to sudden outbursts of anger or laughter…depending on the situation) while the father to be is anxious (that the baby will be born in the car) yet eager for the baby to be born so his wife might possibly return to normal. Of course both parents are excited, overjoyed and nervous about the birth of their coming child.

Real Life. Real Trauma. Real Blessings. I must admit that I was feeling quite confident as we left for our second trip out to Shakay. I had survived the first trip quite successfully (in my opinion) and I was sure it would go even better the second time around. I mean I was prepared for everything – I had made numerous lists, so that we would have everything we needed, and I had lived out there and all had gone well - how much different could it be! Lets start with the mud. 10048;❀❀❀. Of course, we weren...

Jungle Book: July 2014
http://husersjunglebook.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Trust Share. Be Honest. It is really easy to talk about these words. It is easier still, to tell other people to apply them intricately into their lives. However, to actually be honest and share something terrible – something deeply personal – something scary. That’s a whole other level of trust that most people worry over, stress about and rarely rely upon. It’s sad really that even with our closest friends and family we struggle to truly be honest about who we are and what is in our hearts. What if the...

Until the whole world hears. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. A weekend with the girls. http://amandabrock.blogspot.com/2010/06/continuing-on-in-journey.html
Until the whole world hears. Monday, June 28, 2010. Continuing on in the journey. Again, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog. This probably comes as no real shock. My trip to Bolivia was incredible and made me miss life on the field. It is always a blessing to spend time with people I consider family. We just hung out for two weeks and caught up on life. AMAZING. Can’t wait for the opportunity to go back. The first year of seminary is a wrap! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Caroline - Wake ...

until the whole world hears: God has a sense of humor!
http://amandabrock.blogspot.com/2009/09/god-has-sense-of-humor.html
Until the whole world hears. Sunday, September 13, 2009. God has a sense of humor! Because I have landed in Waco, Texas. Never in a million years did I see myself going to seminary here. I envisioned Wake Forest or Ft. Worth or New Orleans. Waco? Didn't even know there was a seminary there! Many have been curious as to the turn of events that led to my big move south. Here it is:. How did I end up here? Well, it is most definitely a God-thing (working thru Amy and Wes! Next time: The Mormon Encounter.
