The foundation stone pictured on the Home Page is at Elliott House nursing home in Beltinge, Herne Bay. The history of this building together with many others nearby and in other parts of the country is very interesting and really part of a much larger picture of the philanthropic life of J Passmore Edwards (a Freemason) who appears on the foundation stone as:. On their excellent website there is a page on the 3rd Earl Amherst and interestingly on their Consecration Page, the 2nd Consecrating Officer is listed as WBro H Passmore Edwards SGD. This would appear to be Harry Edwards the son of J Passmore Edwards. Thanks again to Dean Evans, we now know that J Passmore Edwards was a member of The Cornish Lodge No 2369 which meets in London.
