1999 Semester in Cambridge: 10-Year Reunion. To remember one of the most significant events in our lives, together: for the first time in a decade! Sunday, November 30, 2008. Reflecting on the Past. When I ever have to take stock of "who is Michaela? Remember the status of the Cambridge People? Sure enough, I did enjoy that status when we returned. I loved answering questions and showing off my tattoo. Or how to react when in tight quarters with 19 other women. month after month! But I'll never regret ea...

Sunday, January 31, 2010. Baker Turns 2 - Elmo Party. Baker had his 2nd birthday party on Saturday and since he adores Elmo and asks to watch him a good portion of the day, not that we let him as we do try to limit the amount of teley he watches, we thought it was only appropriate to give him an Elmo party. T. It was a great party, and though there were a couple of moments when Baker seemed overwhelmed, he had a great time too! We also gave these cute Elmo cookies to each kid as they left. Made these and...

http://sherriehiett.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-york-state-of-mind.html
Monday, October 25, 2010. New York State Of Mind. Today is "that day." October 25th. How do I feel about it? I really don't know. I remember the second October 25th. When October 1st rolled around, I started dreading "that day." I learned that year that the dread of the day is worse than the actual day itself. I remember the third and fourth October 25th's. I was prepared for it.knew how I was gonna' feel and knew the right words to say when people asked how I was doing. Melanie was single and way overwe...

Monday, January 31, 2011. A Skype Kind of Birthday. Since Baker's birthday fell on Monday, we had a little Skype party with Nina and Papa. They even had a little cake with candles and Baker opened up gifts from us and them. And of course, we sang all over again and had more cake. It was a fun little night and I think that Baker enjoyed having his birthday celebration spread out over a few days! Blowing out" his virtual candles. Time for more cake and the Happy Birthday song! Cake pops make him happy!

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. First Day of Preschool! I can't believe I'm actually typing this. Baker started preschool three weeks ago, August 16th to be exact. He's only going two mornings a week but it made me terribly sad nonetheless. The night before when I was getting his backpack ready, I had one of those surreal moments. I couldn't believe that I was packing his bag for school! For me, I could really use a few hours to myself each week for things I need to get done. His teachers love him and even sai...

http://sherriehiett.blogspot.com/2009/03/alright.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Sojust gonna' lay out some things I've been feeling the past week or so. May not be Theologically, emotionally, or grammatically correct, but it's just how I'm feeling these days. What will become of them after they leave here? Can I speak just one word of Peace or Comfort that will somehow change their whole frame of mind and life? Over the years, I've had the privilege of sitting down and talking with numerous people about issues in their life. Maybe it's relationship issues...

Sunday, February 28, 2010. Baker loves him some window clings, thanks to Nana (aka Nina) and Papa. They bought him some Christmasy ones over the holidays and they were a big hit. So now, he gets them for virtually every holiday. Here are a few pics of him putting them in our window. I'm not sure what kind of smile this is but it's sweet. He looks so proud of his clinging skills. It was too funny! See the video below of it. Video of Baker acting Bleeker. Posted by The Blackmons. The Next Dog Whisperer?

Sherrie's Blogology...: The Present...
http://sherriehiett.blogspot.com/2009/07/present.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Sittin' at the crib, sippin' on a cold Diet Dr. Pepper, crunchin' on a chocolate rice cake with peanut butter on top, and watchin' Kitty and Gracie play with chew toys and chase each other's tails. Life is.sweet. Imagine. He's not a set of rules or laws I have to live by. Rather, He's a Love I can live in, follow, imitate, and grow in. So, yeah.I'm learning to lay a lot of stuff down. Most of all, I'm discovering that I'm not really that bad of a person! I embrace my past, for I kn...

It's pretty amazing how much Baker loves Santa. Not a fear to be had. He just wants his toys. :). I took this one with my iPhone and loved how well it turned out! We have so many pics to choose from this year for our Christmas card.how will we ever decide? Making a marshmallow snowman at the Whole Foods booth.
