Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Her şeyi açıklayabilirim (eh, doğru değil). Summer has passed, for the most part. My relatives have gone back to Texas for the winter. I'm not outside quite so much, although I do take my regular walks. And am about half way through the last level. Level 3 is largely about reading, and by extension, writing. So I've been picking up the book more sporadically than the first two volumes. For reading, I've just started to read Kayıp Sembol. Back in June, my 6 Week Challenge.

Monday, June 27, 2011. Growing my Turkish vocabulary. So last week I set a goal for myself to increase my vocabulary by 350 or so words in a month. It's going well just after one week. If I continue at the rate I am I should have closer to 500 words by the end of July, but I need to make sure that I'm retaining these new words and reinforcing their use. OK, this post isn't directly related to gossip, but I was recently reminded of it by a gossipy neighbor, which made me think of a verb form in Turkish that I rarely use: the reportative tense, or, as Aaron over on everydaylanguagelearner.com. Monday, December 19, 2011. This will probably be my last post for 2011, although I don't promise anything. Now that "Yıllar Sonra" has ended, I've been looking for more things to watch on Turkish TV. Monday, January 14, 2013. Turkish B2 exam date set! I've finally got confirmation on my B2 exam date for Turkish. It'll happen on February 19. It's a bit sooner than I wanted, but I'll deal with it. I've been going through the TELC practice material to prepare. The TELC website has a mock exam, but I've also purchased the extra practice material, so there's plenty for me to use prior to the tests. Additionally, I've decided my second language this year to study, or rather continue to study, is Ojibwe.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012. March progress - Turkish. I figured I should give an overall status of where I am so far this year with Turkish. I'm continuing on with my normal plan, and I've also added a couple things as I've progressed. My main study material continues to be Yeni Hitit. I mentioned in a previous post that I've also started using Busuu. And finally, for all those little in-between moments, I use Twitter. Monday, April 23, 2012. I haven't written much about my progress with Georgian so far this year. One would think that I've dropped it, but I haven't. It's just going slow. And I really have no need for it to go any faster than it's been going. I only want to reach an A2 level, at most, in the language by the end of the year. I've finished Dodona Kiziria's Beginner's Georgian. It's turning out to be a complicated, slow slog, but I'm getting through it. I recently heard of a free resource over on the HTLAL.
