Max & Louise Pattern Co: October 2014
http://maxandlouisepatternco.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 19 October 2014. I made a bright little quilt for baby Hugo this week (my cousin's new baby). When I make a quilt for children, it has to be able to withstand lots of washing because baby's poop and throw up on everything! I used a "what's bugging you" panel. By Sue Marsh that I bought from Lilly Patches. Last week, 3 fat quarters and a half metre and polar fleece on the back. Hopefully little Hugo will enjoy snuggling under this simple quilt. Thought I'd share my binding tip with you. A huge tha...

Quilting Patterns with a French accent. Time is going so fast and I am already running like a headless chook. The garden needs TLC, few windows needs painting, the veggie patch is crying for vegetables … And I have nearly finished the next little project ( doing a peek a boo ). Obviously this month’s colour is red. May 18, 2016. Hier j’étais à l’exposition de AQC et c’était génial de voir tellement de personnes s’arrêter et contempler mon quilt. Je pouvais voir leurs regards f...April 17, 2016. Une de me...

Quilting Patterns with a French accent. Ooh it has been a while. It is nice to be back home after our trip in Australia. The whole family ( the 4 of us) went from Darwin to Adelaide … in a camper van. The country is magnificent, and very big. Lots of inspiration on the way but I never had time to stop in a fabric shop! By the end of the holidays I was becoming frantic. We left home in winter and two weeks later spring has sprang, my wattle is beautiful. Dur, dur sur la fin. August 7, 2016. By the way the...

Quilting Patterns with a French accent. So much for taking some time off. The mind is buzzing and the fingers cannot keep up! Lucky for me I can escape in the garden for some “earthy” moments. I am thrilled to show you some interpretations of my patterns, it is always nice to see other ways to do it. The first four photos are from the pattern “Isabelle” and the last one is “Albertine”. Thanks Jo, Faye and Juliann. Merci à Jo, Faye et Juliann. May 5, 2015. Block of the month. At last / enfin. Get every ne...

Quilting Patterns with a French accent. Little blue wren / le petit oiseau bleu. There has been quite a lot of questions as why the little blue wren is not in the pattern “Le Jardin ” but on the front picture? By the way the quilt will be on display at the Victorian Quilters Exhibition in July. On m’a souvent demandé pourquoi le modèle pour le petit oiseau bleu n’est pas dans le patron “Le Jardin” alors qu’il est sur la photo? Et mon quilt sera exposé lors de l’expo des Quilters Victorien en juillet.

Quilting Patterns with a French accent. September 24, 2015. Spring cleaning, nettoyage de printemps. Must be in the air, spring cleaning, not the house but getting rid of some of my stash, not that I don’t love it anymore. So I have started 3 scrappy quilts, even one with some pinwheels ( and I have never been very keen on it but I am hooked ) and one with big clamshells ( from my pattern Marie Galante). August 4, 2015. Lucky for me I can escape in the garden for some “earthy” moments. Je suis ravie de p...
