This little pretty is just one of dozens at the edge of the driveway. Playing here with depth-of-field. With the aperture wide open, focus is at a very narrow range of distance. This is part of The Gorge (don't know if it's got an official name) that cuts across the NW corner of Arizona. Zion, at last. Land of Tall Trees, Mountains, Short Trees, and . Buffaloes? The roadway scenery is never dull in Southern Utah. I was pulling over every few minutes to capture yet another breathtaking view. Lots of thoughtfully provided pull-offs. All comments are welcome.

Saturday, November 23, 2013. Sunrise, and a Tree. This is how morning started a couple of weeks ago. I spend a lot of time looking at sunrises and sunsets. My furry son Charlie is usually with me, so I don't usually have my camera with me. The sun came up, the clouds cleared, and here is a shoestring acacia tree in full bloom. This particular tree, one of four in our yard, doesn't "droop" like a typical shoestring acacia, but it's the most prolific bloomer of the four. A little closeup of the blossom.
