Border Bites: Inspirational Salsa
http://borderbites.blogspot.com/2008/10/craving-mexican-food-as-i-usually-am-i.html
A taste of the border's restaurants and a behind-the-scenes look at its restaurateurs. Monday, October 20, 2008. As I usually am, I decided to try something I haven't tried before. Well, actually, this was only after attempting to go to Mi Nidito. Only to find out they were closed on Mondays. So I headed over to El Parador. After trying the margarita, I was glad I didn't include it in the tour. The salsa was so good that it inspired me to embark on a Salsatour 2008 TBA. For $16 I got a cheese enchilada.

MADE on the Border. Keeping a pulse on the heartbeat of border Music, Art, Drama, and Entertainment. Sunday, January 25, 2009. Sitting in the passenger seat on my way to the salsa club the radio spits out a popular song by the singer Pitbull called, “Krazy.” From that moment I knew tonight would be an adventure. At the southwest corner of Broadway Boulevard and Treat Avenue there is a restaurant that doubles as a popular night club for anyone wanting to shake their hips. El Parador. Whether you are an ex...

Border Bites: October 2008

A taste of the border's restaurants and a behind-the-scenes look at its restaurateurs. Monday, October 27, 2008. El Charro, not that far-o? My favorite restaurant, and a reason to stay living in Tucson is a place called El Charro Cafe. There are now five locations in Tucson. And I've been to every one of them at least three times. Not only is it the best Mexican restaurant in town, it's also the oldest Mexican restaurant (run by one family, that is). The Court Street location. The food and margaritas are...
