Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. To Help Get You Through the Day: Girls with Big Booties Dancing. I have a confession: i like big butts and i cannot lie. As the saying goes, we always want what we can't have. and "junk in my trunk" is just something that is not in the cards for me. luckily, i've been bestowed with other physical assets, but the absence of a gloriously round derriere will always and forever be a white girl's burden. (at least this. An oldie, but a goodie!

Wishing on a star: I Lied. THESE Are My New Running Shoes
http://wisdmwithouttheo.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-lied.html
Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Friday, August 26, 2011. I Lied. THESE Are My New Running Shoes. Like a innocent, adolescent boy becoming intimately acquainted with the softness and warmth of the female form for the first time, it seems that I. spoke. The staff was so unexpectedly nice and accommodating that I really, really wanted to like their shoes. And, I thought I did. The Asics Kayano felt so new and unusual that I thought they were for sure. Shoes, but no matter what activity I executed,...

Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Monday, August 29, 2011. Running Through the Aftermath of the Storm. No trains or buses running. Sporadic and unpredictable down pours of rain. No restaurants or bars in my neighborhood. What do all of these things have in common? Combined, they are the perfect recipe for complete and utter boredom during a hurricane. Despite my desperate attempts to lockdown a Hurricane Boyfriend. After my jog through Brooklyn. I had set my alarm for 7 am (I really. Manhattan on...

Wishing on a star: Running through the Calm Before the Storm

Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Running through the Calm Before the Storm. One of my running goals for the year was to complete a race in the Bronx and the Bronx Half was going to provide such a beautiful and fulfilling check mark on my 2011 Running To-Do List. I was looking more forward to these back-to-back races than any other non-NYC Marathon race on my schedule this year. And a 7000 assignment for the Bronx Half (WTF? But even without racing, the run must go on!

Wishing on a star: More from The Outer Banks
http://wisdmwithouttheo.blogspot.com/2011/08/more-from-outer-banks.html
Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Saturday, August 27, 2011. More from The Outer Banks. With Hurricane Irene having just passed the Outer Banks, but the damage yet to be assessed, I thought I'd share a few more photos from my most recent trip to North Carolina. I've said before. Why did I pick the Outer Banks as my inaugural exploration? North Carolina and that their light would always guide her home, no matter how far she wandered. And, believe me, we wandered far. I didn't get it then and I'm o...

Wishing on a star: Running North Carolina: Part 2: The Outer Banks
http://wisdmwithouttheo.blogspot.com/2011/08/running-north-carolina-part-2-outer.html
Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Friday, August 19, 2011. Running North Carolina: Part 2: The Outer Banks. I didn't run again until we reached the Outer Banks, two cities and four days after I bid adieu to Whiteville. Thruway. While both a series of islands, the Outer Banks is nothing like New York, but everything I needed. To grab some breakfast for the two of us. This allowed me to get in a few more miles, while completely negating the entire work-out I just did all in one! Follow Me by Email!

Wishing on a star: The World Is Coming to an End, So I Bought New Running Shoes!
http://wisdmwithouttheo.blogspot.com/2011/08/world-is-coming-to-end.html
Wishing on a star. So far away from home. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. The World Is Coming to an End, So I Bought New Running Shoes! So I thought to myself: Fuck it, I'm getting some new running shoes! If the world is ending, no point in me worrying about my credit card debt or suffering through worn out sneakers any longer! Even if "any longer" only means three more days.). It seemed that after five months of continuous beatings, my faithful Brooks Adrenalines had finally surrendered. The only results fr...
