embracing the love: Speaking Life and Truth
http://embracingthelove.blogspot.com/2015/04/speaking-life-and-truth.html
What does it look like to live one day at a time, loving the One and the one He puts in front of me. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Speaking Life and Truth. The next day we had walked back and I asked her as I was passing if she had tried calling her mom. She had a big smile and said yes! On the ministry side, more and more doors keep opening up for us to minister. Next week we are starting a new class and it has been amazing seeing how the Lord brings students to us without us advertising! Keep praying for us...

What does it look like to live one day at a time, loving the One and the one He puts in front of me. Monday, July 14, 2014. A wild goose chase. And he didn't even need two weeks for results or anything, the embassy had everything they needed in one day. Praise the Lord. We went for the interview, a little nervous, and if we somehow failed this attempt, WHEN WOULD WE EVER MAKE IT TO THE STATES! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What does it look like to live one day at a time, loving the One and the one He puts in front of me. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. At The Father's Service: Being The Feet and Hands of Christ in Jinja and Soroti. We are so glad to be back doing what The Father has called us and anointed us to do! One place that we were both itching to go was our orphanage; Welcome Home and we did go there as soon as we had some time and oh boy, what a time we had there with all these cuties! The Purity Clubs are healthy and d...

What does it look like to live one day at a time, loving the One and the one He puts in front of me. Monday, September 29, 2014. America: An African Boy's Perspective Part 3. I have been getting positive feedback from many of you, appreciating or adding a comment to what i have written before. Thank you, it's always nice and encouraging to hear such positive comments from you. Is there something more we can do? What makes them appealing that they are luring people from the comforts of life in the west?
embracing the love: God is at work in Uganda!

What does it look like to live one day at a time, loving the One and the one He puts in front of me. Monday, May 11, 2015. God is at work in Uganda! From our previous post, we told you about a young waitress we had started walking alongside and ministering to. We have got two exciting updates about her! Last week, she went and met her mom and she said it was a very exciting moment for both of them! How the rest appeared, only the Lord knows! Our other class meets this week from the 13th to the 15th of th...

Running the race....: Betty and Vicky
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2015/04/betty-and-vicky.html
Saturday, April 4, 2015. I write about Betty and Vicky occasionally. They are now secondary school students! They passed their PLEs with scores of 21 and 20 respectively which, isn't great but is pretty dang good. They were accepted into boarding school in Kangole. Thanks for those who were praying for them (and me! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I've lived in Uganda for more than five years now! Sometimes it amazes me and most of the time I wonder what the heck I'm doing.

Running the race....: October 2014
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 23, 2014. One of my favorite things about living in Uganda is how beautiful and diverse this country is. With my friend Rachael visiting I took the opportunity to see a few of my favorite places again. Here are some more of her pictures:. The Nile river squeezes through a rocky gap only 6 meters wide then drops 40 meters down. Pretty impressive to say the least. Monday, October 20, 2014. Lots of singing and dancing. It was a very entertaining day. Thursday, October 9, 2014. This old gen...
Running the race....: January 2015
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 12, 2015. Why do I even bother? I'm a bit fed up with it all today. Now, taking a step back. This family has gotten treatment from me MANY times. Several times, when I've tested and gotten a positive for malaria. So treated them. They also have heard my. So, why, after they called me and I came, do they just do what they want anyway? I know they are ridiculously poor and don't have money to just throw way. And I think I have proven myself trustworthy in the past. Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

Saturday, October 5, 2013. 3 of the well drillers in the middle surrounded by community. Rachel praying before we go. Running the race....: December 2014
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. I liked this blog post and not just because I suspect the background picture is Uganda. It is stuff I regularly feel and struggle with. Please read: God with us. I'm headed out for several nursing calls today. A bad burn (9% full thickness) on a 8 year old boy needs to be redressed, a 5 year old with a deep abscess, and a bunch of other odds and ends including a review of family planning for several ladies who asked me to explain it again. Lord, help me to honor you! Lord, even...

Friday, March 20, 2015. What a day. visited lots of patients at home today and had more of a variety than I've had in a long time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm running this race of life in Uganda, East Africa. I'm a nurse suffering from role crisis as most of my work is that of a physician. I am under qualified and ill equipped. However, my God is not. And He has me here for a reason. My job is to get up in the morning and submit to Him. It makes every day an adventure. View my complete profile.

Embracing The Light
Monday, July 28, 2008. I have moved back to time to tell. Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Standing up for myself. I have always had a hard time standing up for myself. I don't like confrontation and negativity for one thing, but sometimes I have to because I end up getting stepped all over and then some. And I usually get to the point where enough is enough. So she pulled out the schedule and first asked another co-worker if she could do it and she initially said yes, but then realized that she has an appoint...

The Dreaded ‘About’ Page…. December 6, 2017. This year has flown by. Well, if I'm being honest, I say that every year. It really is true that time slips away the older I get. Embracing the Messy
Tuesday, January 20, 2015. The theme of my life so far seems to be "stay.". I've lived in the same city my whole life, other than a semester abroad in college. I attend the church that I primarily grew up at. After about a 4-year period of not being there, Reuben and I realized it was home for us while we were engaged and we've been a part of that community ever since. I'm sure I will always struggle somewhat with "what-ifs" because there are trade-offs to every decision that is made. I often feel li...
