Tuesday, April 17, 2012. A whole park full of real animals and all she wants to do is play on the plastic ones (she eventually agreed to keep walking and see the real animals). Abi and Ron feeding a wallaby. These ones had a warning that they like to bite so we didn't feed them. Since seeing this, Abi has wanted to carry her teddies around in a "pouch". Saturday, July 9, 2011. As Abi is nearly two, we decided that it was time for her to move out of her cot and into a big bed. After much planning, shopping and washing we were finally ready to pull apart the cot and set up her big bed this morning. Abi exploring her new bed. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. So much change in so little time! Just thought I would update our blog as I saw it has not been done in nearly 2 months. There has been some big changes around here and, as always, they are interesting. Abi is now 19 months old and happily running around everywhere. She has learnt how to use the "no" word in correct situations, even if it doesn't get the results she desired. She can now count to 10 (13 if prompted correctly! And never stops praying! Friday, January 28, 2011. And She is off! Well, as the post title refers, our beautiful daughter Abigail has finally started walking for herself! For the last month she has been very independent with the ability to walk about via her trolley (as seen in one of the previous blog pictures). Then one day she decided to start standing by herself and at the end she would request "clapping" from Mum and Dad. Now, I know everyone is whispering "you are going to regret her walking" but in my opinion - WHO CARES!

Sunday, April 24, 2011. This week we have had fun painting. And wearing our new sleep-suit (it's a size 2). Sunday, April 17, 2011. This weekend, our Saturday consisted of grocery shopping, making egg and milk free hot-cross buns,. Reading lots of stories, mowing the lawn in record time, playing with lego,. And generally just having a relaxing day. Earlier this week Abi discovered that she could reach the contents of the top draw in the bathroom . And found something to play with :-).

Sunday, August 7, 2011. Sydney photos (at last). A few weeks ago Abi and I got on a plane and went to visit family and friends in Sydney. Here are some of the photos my parents took. The cot at Grandma and Grandpa's house. (We moved her into her "big bed" the weekend after we got home.). Bed time stories with Grandma. Ohhh, what's this cool toy Uncle Tim has. Playing with Uncle Tim's ipad. Abi all dressed up to go to Marty and Katherine's wedding (and playing with Aunty Katie's "fido" puppet).

Sunday, May 22, 2011. One of the things i love about the age Abi is now (21 months) is how she plays with her toys. Little ted and her other soft toys are often crying and in need of a cuddle or wanting to sit on the couch or needing to be tucked into bed for their nap. We also have fun making duplo play-pens for her plastic animals. For this one, I helped make the play-pen at Abi's request, but the people and animals are all her work. Sunday, May 1, 2011.
