Box Hill or Bust: March 2013
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Box Hill or Bust. Friday, 29 March 2013. I stumbled upon something rather terrific the other day. A chance posting on my bike club's general forum by fellow member "RegVarney" (I assume he drives a bus for a living! Opened up a whole weekend's viewing pleasure for your humble scribe. If you've ever watched "Long Way Round" with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, you will love this. A very basic resumé would be that he's riding a bike (well, a BMW - but don't hold that against him) from Dublin, right acro...

Box Hill or Bust: Bikes vs Football Clubs
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2011/09/bikes-vs-football-clubs.html
Box Hill or Bust. Friday, 30 September 2011. Bikes vs Football Clubs. Given the ridiculously warm weather in London at the moment and the fact that it's very nearly the weekend, it's time for a bit of sunny Friday whimsy. Obviously, I love bikes and, despite being a Fulham supporter, I love football too - so let's do a bit of a match up and see how a selection compare. Manchester City - MV. Spit) Repulsive, ugly, workmanlike and generally unloved by the masses - and BMW bikes aren't much cop either!

Box Hill or Bust: EMERGENCY BITTER: "CiderFootballPunkRock"
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2013/05/emergency-bitter-ciderfootballpunkrock.html
Box Hill or Bust. Sunday, 19 May 2013. Ok, we're going on a bit of a departure with this one - as alluded to HERE. I love my music (as do most bikers), so, putting bikes aside for a moment, I thought I'd have a go at my first ever album review. A few years ago, some friends of mine, joined together by a love of cider, football and punk rock (you can see where this is going! First of all, don't be put off by the punk rock thing - this is a rock n roll album. The CD opens with "Wake Up". Stick two fingers ...

Box Hill or Bust: Time for a change?
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2013/02/time-for-change.html
Box Hill or Bust. Thursday, 21 February 2013. Time for a change? This is year 3 of owning the Z1000 and I have to say that I've enjoyed every minute of it (apart from being blown all over the place on Belgian motorways, due to lack of wind protection). But overall, it is a fantastic bike with power, character and presence and it does everything I ask of it. And I still look at it and think "pfwooooorrrrr"! So why thoughts of change? Well, it's what we do as bikers isn't it? Look at this monstrosity!

Box Hill or Bust: Looking forward....
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2013/03/looking-forward.html
Box Hill or Bust. Friday, 22 March 2013. Next week the clocks go forward as we head into Spring - at bloody last! This winter has felt interminably long. But for once we won't dwell on the weather here - this is a time to look forward.to plan the biking year. We are calling the trip "Sea to Sea". Regular readers may remember me waxing lyrical. On past trips about French "D" roads, and one in particular - the D940. The D940 is a truly fantastic route and one of my favourite roads ever. And given t...The n...

Box Hill or Bust: Biking Heroes: Eddie Kidd
http://boxhillorbust.blogspot.com/2011/05/biking-heroes-eddie-kidd.html
Box Hill or Bust. Sunday, 29 May 2011. Biking Heroes: Eddie Kidd. Much of the time since has been spent dealing with his disabilities, which are significant. Without the support of anything like the Knieval Corporation, when he crashed Eddie, somewhat unbelievably, was uninsured and all the money he had made during his career has since gone on medical bills and adaptations. He now lives in Sussex, dependent on state benefits. But does he let all this misfortune get him down? Box Hill or Bust on Facebook.
