Be Prepared!: April 2009

http://www.emergencyprep1.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 30, 2009. When I lived in Arizona my friend Jamie, a food storage/emergency preparedness guru, got me hooked on these storage containers from Wal-Mart:. I know, nothing special, right? And as always, not a super-flattering picture either. But here's why I like them. First of all, they hold the contents of a number ten can perfectly. Second, they have a lid like this:. Yes, I am aware that these containers don't really. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. YOU DON'T NEED ANY CANNING EQUIPMENT! 1 Fir...

Be Prepared!: Where's the Beef?

http://www.emergencyprep1.blogspot.com/2009/03/wheres-beef.html

Monday, March 30, 2009. Sorry about the little lapse in posts there. I promise I'm still committed to this blog (for all three of you who read it besides me). Today I thought I would post about the wonder that is canned beef chunks. Has anyone ever tried these things? Note: this is not the same as canned ground beef. Here is what it looks like out of the can in all of its beefy splendor:. Please don't let the poor photography in this post deter you from ever trying this meat. I'm not the Pioneer Woman.

Be Prepared!: May 2009

Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Blender Wheat Pancakes- No Wheat Grinder Needed! Throughout my quest for good, working food storage recipes, I've run across several different blender wheat pancake recipes. And after trying them, I can see why:. You don't need a wheat grinder. To make them, so they're a good way to try out whole wheat in your diet without making a major investment. They're essentially a "one-bowl" recipe. Using fewer dishes always puts a smile on my face. Do I have too many bulleted lists.

Around the Kitchen Sink: FrontRunner

http://aroundthekitchensink.blogspot.com/2009/11/family-holiday.html

Tuesday, November 10, 2009. This last weekend we rode FrontRunner up to Layton for lunch. We had such a good time! The boys loved the ride. We sat on the second story of the train . Our seats had a table in between them. We had snacks and watched other trains go by. Tyler's favorite thing was eating on a train! Colby loved the bouncy seats! He gave them a good jump! I love that place! I think in another life I will own my own sandwich shop! Posted by Around the Kitchen Sink. Friends from the Kitchen.

Around the Kitchen Sink: November 2009

http://aroundthekitchensink.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 21, 2009. My favorite fine dining place has finally made its way to Utah! Yes, I am talking about In-And-Out Burger. I waited in line today for over an hour for their succulent. Cheese burger and mouth watering fries( don't forget the side of spread (otherwise known as fry sauce in Utah)! It brought me back to a the day when the heat of Las. Vegas would just send me down to In-And-Out for a thirst quenching Diet Coke with lemon. Those were the days! Posted by Around the Kitchen Sink.

Around the Kitchen Sink: Soap Box

http://aroundthekitchensink.blogspot.com/2009/10/soap-box.html

Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Okay so today is a day of soap boxing. Why is it when I walk into Wal-mart. 9 times out of 10 I can't find what I'm looking for and if I ask someone who works there where it is; they don't know either.I mean why should they, right? Why is it when I check out at Wal. Then I usually end up going to a different store to find what I needed and at the price claimed on the little sticker in front of the item.Is that really to much to ask for! Thanks for humoring me! Monday, September 28, 2009. Boys will be boys! After family home evening we went outside to finish some projects up before the storm blows in. Tyler and Colby went out back and were playing in the sand box with the boys next door. Andy and I had gone out front to finish patching up our drain pipe. I went to check on the boys and found Colby playing in the water/mud and Tyler and the neighborhood boys throwing things at/in/around the dumpster! Posted by Around the Kitchen Sink.
