http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/07/google-drives-me-crazy.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Friday, 24 July 2009. Google drives me crazy. Well, Google has finally driven me crazy. For some unknown reason my password for this site stopped working and I have had to jump through what seems like 100 hoops to gain access again. At this time of year with temperatures at a record 100f I have been feeling rather frazzled with all of this. However, I am finally up and running again (I think! In addition, I am hoping to form an art association. It's here NOW in Spain! A Walk By ...

Independentista: New Direction
http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/04/new-direction.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Sunday, 12 April 2009. I have been totally absorbed for the past few weeks working on a series of auto-biographical paintings on paper that also incorporate collage from my own photographs. I think is a natural progress from my street art paintings and something that I am thoroughly enjoying. I plan a series of about 15 and have completed about 7. I have also been busy teaching my art process which has been both enjoyable and exhausting. I need a holiday! 12 April 2009 at 16:22.

I don't wish to be boxed! Saturday, 25 July 2009. More in the series . These are 3 more from my new photo series. They were taken at our annual Fire Festival a few weeks ago. 26 July 2009 at 03:42. Looks suspiciously spammy to me, those numbers in the bottom.id translate it and delete it. 26 July 2009 at 15:40. Oooooooooooh Philip that would be nice :). If art is t...

Independentista: The Wall
http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/03/wall-60cm-x-60cm-acrylic-2009-i-cant.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Friday, 6 March 2009. I can't believe a month has passed since I last posted anything here. I guess I have been sidetracked with sorting out my music collection which has now been transferred to a Media Player (brilliant invention - no more CDs! And catching up on D.I.Y jobs around the house which I have been putting off for far too long - mainly because I hate doing it and regard myself as fairly useless! I'll hope to catch up on the blogs I normally visit shortly. Likewise, I ...

Independentista: Last of the Monoprints
http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/01/last-of-monoprints.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Friday, 23 January 2009. Last of the Monoprints. 20cm x 20cm on paper. This is the last monoprint I produced from a series of about 20 which I made in the summer of 2007. It was produced by painting on glass and then transferring it to paper by a very simple printing method. How do you keep on growing? 23 January 2009 at 16:27. Also, I really like that monoprint. It makes me think of the old growth spruce of the Carmanah Valley. 23 January 2009 at 16:31. I have one series of 100...

Independentista: Damage
http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/05/damage.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Wednesday, 13 May 2009. This however explains my relative absence from blogging! I haven't enjoyed working this much for awhile and have been on a roll. Lots of things seem to have suddenly come together! It is so great to hear that you've tapped into a good creative flow and lost all track of time to produce such wonderful work. This is such an interesting piece. To me it seems to convey your inner realization of the need for a major change in the direction of your life. Pastel...

Independentista: Blast From The Past
http://philip-abstractions.blogspot.com/2009/01/blast-from-past.html
I don't wish to be boxed! Saturday, 17 January 2009. Blast From The Past. I took this photo of myself in 1986 at a time when I was living in the small historic town of Needham Market in Suffolk. It was a time when I knew I needed to move on in life and do something different - hence the gazing out of the window. I was working as a Tax Inspector at the time (makes me cringe just to think of it now! I guess this is another 'alternative self-portrait'. Labels: Blast from the past. 17 January 2009 at 22:16.
