Saturday, March 2, 2013. This was my fourth winter working at the Powder Mills Park ski hill as a kids downhill ski instructor. (Imbuing kids with a love of skiing= one of the best responsibilities I can imagine.) The rope-tow ski hill at Powdermills is one of the greatest resources Rochester has to offer. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Are fired up to do better next year. I made signs, which were featured on one of the crossfit games videos! Here's Nick modeling some of the signs I made. Monday, June 25, 2012. The 3rd annual Crossfit Rochester. Games were a blast, as usual. Since the gym is in a new location [from last summer], we were able to have the entire event outside. Today was our first practice with most of the non-regionals cross country kids, and the conditions couldn't have been more kick-ass. South Colton is well on its way to becoming a winter-wonderland. Monday, March 15, 2010. Traveling to South Africa is rough: 1 hour to D.C., 8 hours to Dakar, 8 hours to Jo'burg. Not only is that super tiring, you've gotta deal with 7 hours of time zone misplacement. I've never traveled quite so far before, but it was worth it. The coolest part about the lion park was getting to go into a cage full of cubs and petting them. One or two of the cubs were cranky and growled at you if you got too close, but the others were really friendly and like their tummies rubbed.
