Friday, July 20, 2012. Hayes' 3rd birthday and our "tin anniversary". I cannot believe it has been 3 years since the birth of our sweet baby Hayes! She has grown into such a sweet, sassy, dramatic, sensitive little girl with the silliest sense of humor. She is tall and skinny (81st percentile for height and 37th for weight) and she loves to try new things.especially new foods! Hayes and her friends made pirate and princess masks, got tattoos and their nails painted, and ate yummy cake and ice cream.

Wednesday, February 12, 2014. A Very Merry Christmas. We started decorating for Christmas the day we got home from our Thanksgiving trip to the coast and we went full force like that all the way through the 25th. We had our first live tree in almost 10 years and had a great time decorating the house, watching Christmas movies, and doing all the seasonal things that have come to be traditions for our little family. We made a gingerbread house. We saw Santa.several times! Gray was super pumped about his Po...
Boogers and Bows: A long winter and a welcomed spring!
http://emilyadamandgraypatterson.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-long-winter-and-welcomed-spring.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2015. A long winter and a welcomed spring! Here in Memphis, we had another unpredictable winter, but finally ended up with several bouts of snow. The kids, who were convinced that they had not seen snow in several years due to our move to Germantown (only 10 miles away), were thrilled to finally get to pull out Adam's old wooden sled and take it for a ride. We realized pretty quickly, however, that they did not have the proper snow gear, but they didn't let it stop their fun. Dinner at T...

Thursday, December 13, 2012. Trick or treat and Good ole Rocky Top. We celebrated our first Halloween in Germantown by participating in lots of fun Fall festivities and since it's my FAVORITE holiday, I wouldn't have it any other way! Gray had asked to be "army" or a G.I. Joe but the only army costume I could find came complete with an all-too realistic assault weapon and goatee. I'm not even exaggerating. I hate to disappoint on Halloween though, so scary facial hair and knives it was! I'm a lucky girl ...

Sunday, December 22, 2013. Lots of firsts and plenty of thanks. Since my last post, we've been busy as always. First, there was Halloween. While Gray had known for quite some time that an astronaut was all he wanted to be for Halloween, Hayes, on the other hand, couldn't quite make up her mind and wore something different to each of the functions we attended. In other news, we had lots of "firsts"! It's the little things. Maybe she'll be the next "Major Impression" dancer in the fam! Gray had his first s...

Friday, October 9, 2009. Pumpkins, Ballgames, and Engagement. First off, let me start by apologizing for my lack of blogging for past few months. The Grace of Madison: December 2008
http://madisongraceakins.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2008. Christmas Parties, Presents, and More Presents! Well the holidays have came and gone in 2008, and rest assured that Madison and I had a great Christmas this year. The parties started in Tippah County the weekend of the 20th, and ended yesterday at the House on the 28th. I think I counted eight parties we attended, and know for sure that we missed a few! Madison got more than she could play with, and I am blessed to have such a large and loving family that supports both her and I.

We got close to 10 inches, and it was a quite surprise to everyone. The kids really enjoyed this snow, and actually getting to build their first snowman. Life with the Lynchs. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. First day of staycation. Bike riding in the park. Ella Catherine was getting a little frustrated that Carter wasn't riding as fast as she was. Getting the hang of his new Bike. Doesn't need to be pushed anymore. He can do it all on his own. So intense and focused at the task at hand. Next American ninja warrior. First trip to the neighborhood pool. Ella Catherine trying to tell Carter it isn't cold if he would just get in. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

This semester I primarily paint and draw in my small kitchen lounge or limited area living room, sometimes my room, but it’s messy and cramped so not the best place. Moderately small house with lots of distractions. Last weekend I went over to my grams house and spent two days in an empty carpeted room. No internet, no tv, no, no pets. The walls were white and there was framed art resting against the walls. College ca...

Boogers and Bows
Monday, March 6, 2017. We weren't far into the new year when we had our first snow day- a favorite for my kiddos! As has become our custom, we headed over to a neighbor's house once all the Dads headed into work, and we cozied up and ordered pizza and chatted while the kids played together in the snow. I'm not kidding when I say that Gray was outside from 7:30 am until almost 4 pm, only coming inside briefly to grab a bite of pizza! This girl is a defense queen! But she also made a free throw! Holiday fu...
