Then she got her daddy involved and before long, we were all in the kitchen just workin' up a creative storm! Sunday, March 21, 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My beautiful girl, Emily. Family. Travel. DIY. Advocacy. Capturing the Everyday. Diy {paper bird painting}. After yesterday’s comments on how unique you thought my craft ideas are, I was a bit hesitant to post this! Not so unique, but easy enough for anyone to do! I was inspired by this DwellStudio painting. Draw the basic design on the canvas (I messed with this picture in Photoshop to make the pencil marks show up…it isn’t really a big gray bubble). Step 5: Paint on your branches. Handful. Can I say it again? Link to this post.

Whoa Baby!: A Re-Cap
http://leslieshavingababy.blogspot.com/2010/03/re-cap.html
It has been a whirlwind couple of days in the DeHart family . . . On Sunday, Scott walked calmly into the living room and informed me that he was having chest pains and thought he needed to go to the hospital. Now on any given day, that kind of statement is scary. Coming from Scott with his family history of heart disease, it completely freaked me out. We immediately loaded Emily up and took her to my sister's house and then went on to the hospital. To my mom and dad: what would we do without you? From h...

Say hello, wave goodbye | Mikaela Ruth Photography
https://mikaelaruthphotography.wordpress.com/2011/01/27/say-hello-wave-goodbye
Say hello, wave goodbye. Thursday, January 27, 2011. I’m doing it. I get to check one more item off my 101 list. An item I wasn’t sure I’d accomplish when I set out with my list to complete in 1001 days. Today was my last day at my day job, my Monday-Friday type job, all because my dream has grown bigger than I thought it could, my dream to be a photographer. Full-time. Over the last three years I have been working as an admin assistant at Sevenoaks Alliance Church. So Here we go! From → 101 in 1001.

Sunday, April 19, 2015. Did You Ever Imagine? Navigating our way through a sea of strollers after a long two days at the homeschool convention I looked at Andrew and said, "Did you ever imagine that one day you would be at a homeschool convention? I laughed when he said, "No way," because I felt the same way. I always loved having been homeschooled, but never thought I would pursue it with my own family. In my opinion, it just didn't suit my personality (most days, I am still of that opinion! Yet, even w...

Monday, January 19, 2015. Reborn to Fight for Freedom. Today I am grateful for the unique way that the Body of Christ has fought, and continues to fight, for freedom. I am thankful for the men and women of God throughout the years who have stood on the knowledge that we are all imprisoned in our humanness until Jesus set us free, and let that knowledge embolden them to do courageous things for Christ. Because men and women stood with Christ in the gap of injustice, my family was made possible. Because of...

Written Not With Ink: Keep Calm and Suffer On
http://themedlens.blogspot.com/2012/11/keep-calm-and-suffer-on.html
Monday, November 19, 2012. Keep Calm and Suffer On. If there's anything we hate, it's suffering. If there's anything I. Hate, it's suffering. Our natural desire is to avoid pain. Most of the pursuit of the modern world is comfort. We would have a hard time identifying our actual needs, because they are regularly met and then forgotten in the unending sea of wants. This year God has been teaching me a lot about suffering, some through personal experience, and a lot through the example of men and women of ...

Thursday, August 13, 2015. Life has been at the epicenter of current events these days—who gets to live and what the state of their life should be is bantered around on social media like an abstract topic. I have struggled with how and when to weigh in, feeling the burden of silence and responsibility of speaking out. What do you say when all day it seems like people are saying everything and nothing? People—how it would change our conversations if we took a stand against evil, but were for. He didn̵...
