Week Eight: Dorm Decor. Inspiration Thursday →. March 8, 2011. There are times you think you’re making progress. And you are. You celebrate the small decisions that together amount to more than casual, flippant choices. Perhaps to the untrained eye they are only that: casual choices. But for you, the steps feel like leaps and suddenly you’re invincible, scratching your head at the things that seemed difficult before. God, I’m so… broken. I say that every time I start to pray to you…. Because sometimes th...

End of the Year. December 30, 2011. It’s been quite a journey, eh? I started this blog just about a year ago. As I packed up my belongings to move to the Mid-west, I wanted a way to keep in touch with people on the West Coast. … Continue reading →. A Song, A Prayer. September 19, 2011. Lace and keys →. Week Five: Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes and Love. February 14, 2011. Girls in college love pancakes. The cheap, delectable combination of home-y comfort, gooey chocolate (or peanut butter or syrup or butter), domestic tradition, and childhood memories make them a perfect go-to snack for any and all occasions. Need to celebrate good news? And eat chocolate without restraint. This entry was posted in Chicago. Lace and keys →. Week Five: Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes and Love. February 15, 2...

So… About Colorado. A HeartFull DIY Project →. April 5, 2011. Here… but soon there. Not quite there… but still here. This is an awkward spot, you see. When I came back from spring break, something shifted. My roommate wrote above the sink: “Welcome back to your home away from home.”. I smiled, deeply appreciating her and her warm welcome. But, something shifted. For others, they spent their spring break at home and came back to school – their home away from home. Neither perspective is right, or better.

Lovely Things I’m Diggin’ Lately. Week Four →. A Storm to Remember. February 5, 2011. A haphazard, finger-in-bottom-right-corner snapshot of the plaza the night of the Third Largest Storm in Chicago history. This is the thick of it, and man, it was thick. Snow swirled from every direction, howling and chilling. The 4-6inches per hour snowfall blanketed the city and white and everything. shut. down. Streets emptied, shops closed, Chicagoans stayed indoors while the white fluff piled high. Week Four →.

A whole different kind of life. End of the Year →. A Song, A Prayer. September 19, 2011. 8220;Breaking Dawn” – The Wailing Jennys. Take me to the breaking of a beautiful dawn. Take me to the place where we come from. Take me to the end so I can see the start. There’s only one way to mend a broken heart. Take me to the place where I don’t feel so small. Take me where I don’t need to stand so tall. Take me to the edge so I can fall apart. There’s only one way to mend a broken heart. End of the Year →.

If I’m Honest… | love, kylie
https://lovekylie.wordpress.com/2011/02/25/if-im-honest
Week Seven →. If I’m Honest…. February 25, 2011. I’d tell you that I love the City, but I really miss Highway 1, backroads, the ocean, singing in the car, rolling hills, and blue skies. I’d tell you that I while the streets may feel safe, someone died on the corner of Chicago Ave. and Wells St. (one corner of MBI) this week, and that reality puts both fear and grief in my bones. I’d tell you that dorms are fun and refreshing, but I miss houses (and families) more than I ever expected to. Week Seven →.
