Yesterday, my friend Meghan, her daughter Nora, Ella and I took a little trip down to Union Station to see the Christmas Carol train. Ella is absolutely obsessed with trains right now, thanks to my dad! Of course, it was the hottest day we've had in a while. We were a little disappointed that the inside of the train wasn't more kid friendly, but Meghan and I really enjoyed it! Emily and Drew Dischinger.

Life in Our Shoes. Thursday, April 30, 2009. We came in for induction Wednesday morning (4/29/09) at 7:15am. We got all settled in and started the Pitocin at 8:00am. By 9:00am I was at 3cm dilated, 100% effaced and they broke my water (which was pretty disgusting, by the way). By 11:30am I was ready for my epidural! Wow in only an hour! 15 minutes later I was at 10 and ready to go. We had to wait about 20 minutes because someone else was delivering at the same time. 20 minutes in all and no tearing!

Life in Our Shoes. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Thought we would share some of our Tuesday with you! We have had a great day! I am doing his tummy drops (gas drops) with every feeding and some exercises (pulling his legs down and pushing them up and massaging his tummy and legs) to help him release the gas and to poop more. It seems to be really helping! He had a much more restful sleep last night and has been in a great mood today! He is liking his bath more and more now that he can "lounge" in the warm water!

Saturday, May 31, 2014. Vegas, part deux! Vegas, another great retreat to the desert! We all headed down to Mexico again for a little sunshine during the bleak MN winter, and man this one was a doozy. The underground lazy river was again a huge hit at Xcaret. The little girl got to practice her spanish, the dude got to go horseback riding, Grandpa had his breakfast of champions routine, and of course there was swimming the entire time.
