The Shaw Family: December 2010

Update on our journey of Adoption. This verse above has been such a strength to the Shaw's this year. We have also had to slow down with our little girl Neha who drives our schedule. She recently fractured her arm and it has at least knocked out one activity of swimming. However, as you can see below she still wanted to play in her basketball games and could not miss singing at church this year. Love, The Shaw's. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Day 6 – January 30th – Last Day.Sad to end this Journey. Bright and Early once again at 5:30 am. I am not an early riser so this has been rather hard. Today will be a quiet day as all the girls will be at school. We started our assembly with them at 6:00 am and it was fruitful. I love talking to the girls one-on-one about their lives and their hearts. There are so many stories to share. We also met this beautiful little girl that was in 5. Our missionaries and Bob and Siromani Stoll are in their late 80&...

This is the verse God has given me and my family in the last year. We are clinging to it like a lifeline. Challenge after challenge. Trial after trial. Lesson after lesson. How can this, this thing. Be worked for my good or my family's good or my child's good? It's hard; isn't it? Have you been there? Are you there now?

Finding the funny side of life. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. I have always wanted to spend time in a courtroom as a spectator. Today, I decided to check that off my list. My friend, who is a prosecuting attorney for Denton county, informed me that there was a murder trial beginning this week so I decided that this is where I would spend my afternoon. Saturday, May 14, 2011. My Mother's Day Week. So, this is a week late.but better late than never, right? My Mother's Day week started off at Muffins with Mom at the kids preschool. They both made sweet little crafts for me and had some hilarious things to say about their mommy. This picture was at the Mother/Daughter brunch that was held at our church. It was such a treat to be there with my mom too! I hope we can make this an annual thing, I really enjoyed it and learned a few things about.

This was a blog my husband introduced me to, and I have found it to be valuable and insightful in so many ways. She answers this question, "Why does adoption take so long? Why does adoption take so long? It’s a question I ask myself every day and the one I am asked most often by others. Orphan Status Must be Verified. The child is a true orphan. Lengthy interviews must take place betwee...
