Wonder and Wildness of Life: October 2013
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Saturday, October 19, 2013. We spent Sunday morning worshipping as a team, engaging in some beautiful praise led by one of my roommates, Jenna, and then sitting at the table to eat from the Word as taught by Alistair Begg. We are listening to a sermon series about Abraham from Begg called “Venturing in Faith.” Check it out if you have the chance, the first sermon is rich! What are my roots? On some days here, I wrestle with longing for all I’ve left behind—family,...Of day to...

Wonder and Wildness of Life: March 2014
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. It's Football time in Bundibugyo! One of the ministries I have the joy of being a part of here is the Girls’ Football (Soccer) Team at Christ School. We have a stellar team, who’s made it to Nationals for a number of years and who are so full of personality. Spending my afternoons on the pitch (field) with them is always fun and usually exhausting (my energy and athleticism are definitely not that of a 16 year olds anymore! Sports had a large hand in ...

Wonder and Wildness of Life: January 2014
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Thursday, January 2, 2014. One of my favorite songs of this year’s Christmas playlist is by Jason Gray. It’s a song called Gloria! The Song of the Shepherds),. And it tells the tale of the shepherds after the angels’ announcement and song:. After the angels song, everyone held their breath as the darkness rushed back in upon those shepherd boys. Staring into the night, climbing up off their knees, with their hearts on fire, they were trembling with fear… and JOY! One day He&#...

Wonder and Wildness of Life: June 2013
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Friday, June 14, 2013. What am I DO-ing? As I get ready for this journey to Uganda, I thought I’d fill you in on a little of what I’m up to! By Ken Sande is assigned reading from World Harvest and I. It speaks biblical truth to conflict, resolution, and is all about grace. And truth and love…really, it’s about Christ and what light the gospel brings to. Conflict. And that, my friends, is beautiful. Babysitting and spending a few more days as part of the Frothy Monkey. Check o...

Wonder and Wildness of Life. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Nationals, tears, and fullness of life. I just arrived home to Bundibugyo from Football Nationals - what an adventure! We slept at a hostel that evening and tried to get the girls to bed early before our 3 AM wake-up call! The most exciting sight was ...

Wonder and Wildness of Life: On Making Hard, Beautiful Choices
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2014/02/on-making-hard-beautiful-choices.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Monday, February 24, 2014. On Making Hard, Beautiful Choices. As I type the list of our candidates, I am absolutely overwhelmed, to the point of tears and prayer. How am I a part of deciding futures for these students? Of choosing the next ten for our Christ School Orphan and Vulnerable Children Scholarship Program? For 10 of them, their lives are about to change. They will be welcomed, cared for, supported, taught about Jesus, given rich knowledge and life in this place.

Wonder and Wildness of Life: October 2011
http://sarahcrane.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Wonder and Wildness of Life. Monday, October 24, 2011. When my heart is breaking. It also brings rest from work- because when it rains here you just cannot do much of anything- and it brings a deep cleansing.the rain washes the streets clean as it trickles down in streams away from town and it washes away the stench of rotting trash and fish drying in the sun, amongst other scents. It cleans the layers of dirt off the bodas and the cars and everything. The month of September wore me out, body and soul...
