Obviously we were all required to dance the whole time. Myself and the YAP group spent their time passing out information on HIV/AIDS. Since returning to Chongqing 6 weeks ago, I've debated whether or not to keep this here blog. Not only am I super busy at work, but the time I do have off I'd like to spend away from the computer. Months and months ago I read another blogger's farewell. Having begun to find other moms in a time of need, she now felt less needy and ready to move on with life, sans blog. Labels: me me me.

So on Tuesday Kashay and I headed down to Dangriga for Garifuna settlement day to help a friend with an art show and also to meet up with my Peace Corps peeps to enjoy the festivities. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. So I'm now 23. I really think 23 is going to be my year. 23 is a much better number then 22. I don't like the double digits. This year was possibly the best birthday I have ever had. It started Saturday night. We had dinner at my favorite resturant in Cayo, Erva's. I had my favorite, fish fillet with veggie salad and potato. It was so delicious. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the group. It was the perfect Belizean Birthday. I'm glad you asked! 1 I have developed seasonal allergies to whatever blooms here in the fall. After a "oh sh*t I'm allergic to dust mites and they're in our mattress" scare, we have determined I am just allergic to the normal stuff. Still pretty horrible. 2 I have lost 10 lbs! 3 I'm building really awesome relationships with my students. Rad. 6 I'm living in China! Yeah, still new, still amazing.

If you're a weather nut, or just keeping track, there was just a Typhoon that rolled over the island. And another is headed there on Monday.
