The Emily Dorfman Foundation For Children was established in 1994 by Beth and Steve Dorfman in memory of their daughter Emily Dorfman, who died of an inoperable brain stem tumor. They were not alone. Many people have helped organize the Foundation as well as helping with fund raising events. Many of these people also take part in decisions that must be made by the Foundation concerning funding, events, grants, etc. Governing Board and Event Committee Members. Beth and Steve Dorfman. Directors and Steering Committee. The Foundation was created in 1994 as a loving memorial to three year-old Emily, who lost a courageous 11 month battle against an inoperable brainstem tumor. The Foundation has enjoyed a consistent, heart-warming response in financial and volunteer support, and over the years we have received many thousands of contributions from generous individuals and corporations. We hope that you will join in that effort, by giving your generous support. The Emily Dorfman Foundation ...

Crippling The Crippled
Saturday, December 20, 2014. I never really put much into things. Cause no one or anything has done the same. Temporarily tempered I hope things don't fade. You are the first thing in a long time I haven't pushed away. Struggling to find answers to the questions I need to stay. Issues I'm dealing with internally haunt me to this day. I told you all my secrets and fears you used them now I'm just prey. Loving someone isn't supposed to feel this way, at least that's what they say. EmilyDorden ; ). I've got...

Monday, November 14, 2016. Another Orphan Sunday Passed. In February Daniel was traveling and met a young lady that had just found out about a crisis pregnancy. She asked Daniel on the spot if he/we wanted to adopt again. We had some hard conversations about what that would look like and what would happen if we moved forward. Ultimately even though there was fear, we decided of course we would do whatever it took to adopt that baby. Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Monday, July 20, 2015. Lots of family time.
