Pearlly's Engagement with Emily. Pearlly took on the challenging role of Emily in 1990 to raise funds for Singapore Lions Club (Cairnhill) and Singapore Action Group of Elders charity drive for the Sage Elders’ Village project. Stella Kon: A Child of Emerald Hill. Stella Kon is descended from two Singapore families with strong links to historical Emerald Hill Road. She grew up in the house called 'Oebron'. Her father was born at No.2 Emerald Hill Raod, in the house of his grandfather Dr. Lim Boon Keng. In 1984, a copy of Emily of Emerald Hill was handed to me by Ong Su-Ming in Ipoh.
