Martin Family: We Believe in Miracles: The Journey Part III
http://martin-morethanmeetstheeye.blogspot.com/2013/06/we-believe-in-miracles-journey-part-iii.html
To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition. - Samuel Johnson. Saturday, June 1, 2013. We Believe in Miracles: The Journey Part III. Before I left the ICU the next morning, we had what would be a final visit from the neurosurgeon. Again, he told me he was still "waiting in the wings". Nice guy, but he was becoming like the grim reaper. Nothing personal, doc, but I'm glad we didn't have to see you again. Fortunately, I cleared the spinal tap with no meningitis. Martin Family: September 2012
http://martin-morethanmeetstheeye.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition. - Samuel Johnson. Sunday, September 23, 2012. We really like going to the beach. Thanks to the generosity of some friends, we were able to have two lovely trips within the last few months.with a FREE place to stay! In the spring, we hit up Myrtle Beach, SC. I loved this tree. It said "south" to me. Mack always makes a point to stay faaaaar away from the water. Mack happy to not be near the water. Two very notable things about this trip. I loved ...

To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition. - Samuel Johnson. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Clara's Blessing and Easter. On Saturday March 30, we were able to bless. Clara wore a dress that was first worn by my little sister 25 years ago, and she became the 4th granddaughter to wear it. Of course, as it was Easter weekend,we also celebrated with the traditional coloring of eggs and Easter baskets! Heading down to see Easter baksets. Clara was so happy to have her first Easter!

Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Developing Our Talents: An AH-HA Moment. You know when you have those light bulb AH-HA moments? It doesn't happen to me very often, but when it does, the light bulb really clicks and I feel quite brilliant. A couple weeks ago, my cousin Rosemary wrote a blogpost that resonated with me (reference it here. Her point was, it's okay to NOT be good at some things. Now I realize that I am NOT good at A LOT of things! I was inspired after reading. I don't know? WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT TA...

Monday, July 29, 2013. How Do You Wish To Be Remembered? How would they answer the questions she asked? Would they remember the good stories, the bad stories, the funny memories, the not so funny memories? What experiences would stand out most and what stories would they tell to someone writing my history? Guess I better start being nicer to people! In our lives that leave impressions on people? The experience helped me to reflect on my own life and how I wish to be remembered. Bates Family est. 2008.

Monday, May 27, 2013. Memorial Day Weekend Wyoming Trip. Aunt Janene mentioned that she wanted to go to Wyoming for Memorial Day. She was going to leave on Friday. Graduation for us was on Thursday. I just needed to take care of a couple of things and I would be able to go! Thankful it all worked out because we had a great time! I love being able to spend time with family. Aunt Janene got pulled over for speeding! Luckily, she just got a warning! We had a lovely tea-party that night! But we had a blast!

...Coach Jill...: Zoo!
http://jillianthackeray.blogspot.com/2013/06/zoo.html
Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Since Nancy left to go to Lone Peak, we decided we needed to get together over the summer since we wouldn't be seeing each other as much! We planned a day to the Zoo with Mandi! I don't love the Zoo unless there are little kids who actually enjoy it! Charli and Peyton are my favorite! I am going to miss seeing them all the time! We enjoyed our adventures looking at all the animals. Most of the exhibits were "under construction" so that was disappointing! Those and the elephants!

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. As I continue the process of catching up (5/30, only 25 more to go! The importance of family. God has a plan for each of us. God's Timing- Time and Place. The Lord will ALWAYS help us if we just ask! What we do in this life affect our lives in the future. Point for Mom. Why is she usually right? Lesson #2: God Has a Plan for Each of Us I really and truly believe that God does have a plan for each of us. There are obviously many variables along the way that is the beauty of o...

Emily Every Day | a daily meditation on a poem by emily dickinson
Indeed, why blog? December 10, 2012 · 11:05 am. A Birthday Is the Thing With Feathers. Today is Emily Dickinson’s birthday. She is 182 years old. Here is the poem that came to hand this morning. So much of Heaven has gone from Earth. That there must be a Heaven. If only to enclose the Saints. The Missionary to the Mole. Must prove there is a Sky. Location doubtless he would plead. But what excuse have I? Too much of Proof affronts Belief. The Turtle will not try. Unless you leave him then return. Emily p...

Emily's Everyday Eats
The blog for food lovers and about food lovers. Sunday, March 4, 2012. Crockpot Sliders = Messy Goodness! Here's another Pinterest find. I made these to celebrate Matt's last basketball game of the season and coincidentally it was a cold, rainy day, so what a wonderful thing to come home to! I think I said it before, but warm, delicious smelling crock pot food is the BEST thing to come home to! Slow Cooker Pot Roast Sliders. 1 3-4 lb beef roast (we used 2 smaller beef arm roasts). We love to add granola ...
