where was i?
All tomorrows in my funny bone. I was the smudge of ashen fluff (a retrospective). March 25, 2017. The last trace to erase were the smudged fingerprints on my windowpane. I noticed them in the morning when the light shot over the projects, through the dusty glass and into my peace. The fingerprints certainly were not mine. Too big. They looked like they could have been mine if I tried wrenching the window up in the middle of the night with thick work gloves on. I was the shadow of the waxwing slain.
