My family has a long history of ill health, and from a young age I’ve felt the impact that ill health can have on an individual and the people around them. My health continued to slip away and at age 17 I was too ill to go to school. I became housebound, only able to go outside in a wheelchair. There’s no rule saying brownies have to be high in carbohydrates made with flour, heaps of refined sugars and processed. So why couldn’t I make a brownie that I could eat? Wednesday, March 16, 2011. I've been thinking about drawing as character development for the theater. For this character I removed the tulle and painted my forearms deep blackblue, which against the painted lightorange of the rest of my body provided the same sensation in my arms as the tulle had. Also from this costume I had an image/was an image/embodied the feeling of some images from Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander. I am amazed at the distance one can be sent just by the lines of a costume.
