Life with the Barfields: A Week Spent in the CICU
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-week-spent-in-cicu.html
Life with the Barfields. Friday, August 30, 2013. A Week Spent in the CICU. The next morning, I called to check on Josiah and to see if rounds had started. Since it was Saturday, rounds didn’t get started until later, so Anthony and I headed down to the cafeteria to grab some breakfast. As soon as we were allowed back, Anthony and I went to go visit our little man. Mr Josiah with his monkey. And, this is the day we switched to a Nuk paci. Josiah loves his daddy! This picture makes me smile every time.

Life with the Barfields: It’s Been a While…Like 5 Months!
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013/08/its-been-whilelike-5-months.html
Life with the Barfields. Saturday, August 24, 2013. It’s Been a While…Like 5 Months! I should probably start with a post about what happened after Josiah’s Norwood surgery, as I said it would require a separate post. However, I have all of that written down and I can go back and write about it a little later. Instead I’m going to make this post to try and explain why it’s taken me almost 5 months to update the blog. Our little heart warrior. Taken about 10 minutes before he threw up. Happily married to t...

Life with the Barfields: December 2012
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Life with the Barfields. Saturday, December 22, 2012. Can I Step on my Soapbox for a Minute? This week has been busy but slow all at the same time! I had 3 doctors appointments this week, 2 for the specialist and 1 at my OB. Dr. Reed (the specialist) was worried about Christmas messing up my routine appointment so he had me come in on Friday.haha, whatever! But, I'm sure poor Josiah is tired of being poked with the ultrasound machine! Many of you may or may not know that I was adopted (that should be a w...

http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Life with the Barfields. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. One Flesh Sunday School Shower. Before Anthony and I got married, we joined the One Flesh Sunday School class at Sunrise Baptist. It's listed as the "newly married class" but if you ever visit, you will see why everyone ends up staying even after they have been married several years! We have an awesome teacher and group of members! Our Sunday School shower was the very next day (Sunday, Nov. 11) after the Barfield shower. It worked out perfec...Here ...

http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013/04/24-days-at-egleston.html
Life with the Barfields. Tuesday, April 2, 2013. 24 Days at Egleston. I was pretty sure once Josiah arrived I wouldn't have much time to keep the blog updated, and I was right! Josiah Truitt Barfield made is debut at 6:14 pm weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 in. long. He was transported via ambulance to Egleston somewhere around 7:00pm. On his way to Egleston! The day after his stent was placed. Josiah had his best chest x-ray since we've been here! Dopamine (to raise his blood pressure). Josiah recei...

Life with the Barfields: September 2012
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Life with the Barfields. Thursday, September 27, 2012. We Have a Name! When we found out we were pregnant, Anthony and I had agreed that if the baby was a boy then we would use his middle name, Truitt, as either the first or middle name. We had said we didn't really want to use any other family names, but after going through sooo many names nothing sounded right except for one. My dad's middle name is Kent.Truitt Kent sounded perfect! He loved the name as well as the meaning. Neither before nor after Jos...

Life with the Barfields: The Pre-Glenn Cath and Decision
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-pre-glenn-cath-and-decision.html
Life with the Barfields. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. The Pre-Glenn Cath and Decision. Once Josiah was admitted to the stepdown, I was feeling much better about where he was as far as being stable goes. I thought he seemed to be doing much better. I mean, being off of oxygen, tolerating his feeds, off of milrinone, etc. were big steps, right? At this point, Josiah was still 2 months old…wow that seems SO long ago! You can never steal too many kisses! Love these pictures of Josiah! Our Wait for the Glenn.

Life with the Barfields: Angel Babies part 2
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013/10/angel-babies-part-2.html
Life with the Barfields. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Angel Babies part 2. We found out that they were originally from North Carolina and had friends that attended the same church that my aunt and uncle attend, what a crazy small world! To David’s family- I am so sorry for the loss of your little man. I hate that we did not get a chance to know you while you were here, but please know you are always in our hearts and in our prayers. Left in your heart . Children whose families I never met*.

Life with the Barfields: January 2013
http://lifewiththebarfields.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Life with the Barfields. Thursday, January 17, 2013. JOSIAH will be here next WEDNESDAY. Holy smokes, I can't believe it! I know we are down to the wire anyway but to actually KNOW when you're going to have a baby is exciting and nerve racking at the same time. I had my weekly visit at Dr. Pohl's this morning. I went in expecting that Dr. Pohl might mention we would discuss a date for induction at my next apppiontment, but never would I have thought I would. WOW, I can't believe that's only 5/6 days away!
