And it begins…. Today’s the day me and Joe start our adventure traveling the Far East of the world. I’ve finished working 2 jobs frantically saving money and our passports and tickets are at the ready! Many emotional goodbyes but many happy memories to come! Italy has stolen my heart. The sights, weather and food are truly amazing! Almost anywhere you turn in Rome there will be a beautiful monument or building with yards of open space around, it made walking over 30,000 steps a day so much nicer! As we only spent 3 days in the city we packed a lot in but managed to cover all of the iconic areas we planned to visit. Day two we spent all day inside the Colloseum and Roman Forum. The Blue Lagoon and Reykjavík. Our penultimate day in Iceland was spent at the blue lagoon which was A-MA-ZING! And in the evening we ventured into Reykjavík centre. Was such an amazing part of our trip, we spent a good 6 hours here and enjoyed every second. It’s such a beautiful natural wonder and would hugely recommend a day here when going to Reykjavík. Which was beautifully lit up at night. We grabbed one of the best hotdogs I’ve ever had from Baejarins Betzu Pylsur. These were also amazing chips!

Venice was the second and final part of our short break in Italy, and it was beautiful! The island of Venezia was breath taking with it’s side streets, adorable shops and photogenic canals. We only had an afternoon and almost a whole day in the city before setting off for home. We wish we’d has longer to explore and find ourselves lost (which happened a lot in the short space of time we had! So our first afternoon was spent wandering, admiring the views and eating pizza and gelato! 😦 maybe next time!

Waiting for summer: Barcelona on film. March 11, 2017. I fell in love with Barcelona two summers ago so I jumped at the chance to visit again in July. This time, we stayed in an airbnb apartment in a lovely residential area which was a twenty minute walk from Sagrada Familia. Our time was spent wandering the side streets of La Rambla and sipping sangria. I will never tire of Barcelona – it’s the perfect blend of city break and beach holiday.
