A Month in Valencia. A weekend in Barcelona. On Saturday, a group of us took the bus out to La Albufera, which is a large nature preserve south of Valencia. The water was warm, heated by the scorching mid-day sun, but was still refreshing and a cooling escape from the sun’s rays. I ended up falling asleep on my towel, with my headphones in my ears and a t-shirt over my eyes, blocking out the rest of the world. I ended up getting a little sunburn, my skin turning pink around the edges of my swimsuit.
