Candles in Cambodia: Catching up...Part II
http://candlesincambodia.blogspot.com/2011/01/catching-uppart-ii.html
Sunday, January 9, 2011. Catching up.Part II. What color should I make the hands? One of our English library workers asked me during one of our help-us-decorate-the-English-library-for-Christmas-days. He was coloring a paper cut-out manger scene and wasn't sure what color skin Joseph was supposed to have. I told him to color it brown because Jesus and His family were from Asia. He thought that was funny and asked me if Christmas was American or Chinese (interesting! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Candles in Cambodia: June 2010
http://candlesincambodia.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Home is where His heart is. I don't like to do "countdowns" because they make me sort of nervous, even if I'm counting down to something I'm really looking forward to! But I can't help but notice that July 26th is literally just around the corner. Alicia is 15 now.the same age I was when she was born! Who among us is worthy enough to receive large sums of money from hardworking, regular folks? As I've been watching Father provide over such a short period of time, I've been struc...

Candles in Cambodia: July 2010
http://candlesincambodia.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. And so it begins. On Monday when I arrived in Colorado, the first thing I noticed (besides the Greenpeace folks trying to get me to join their group) was that I was not sweating profusely. I think the last time I experienced not drowning in my own sweat everytime I stepped outside, was several months ago (maybe during that "snowstorm"? And after I leave this place in a few days, I probably won't experience that relief again until February when we are in "chilly" Thailand! Tuesday m...

Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Can I just get this out in the open? I am a HUGE Smallville fan! When AJ and I first started hanging out, he gave me some of the seasons to watch while we were in Iraq. I got hooked not only because this hot guy wanted me to like the show, but because I actually REALLY liked the show! So ever since, I have been keeping up with it. Last week AJ came home from school with Season 9! If not, you should.it's definitely worth your time! Andit wouldn't be a proper post without sayin...

walking closer: Happy Birthday Elijah!!!
http://walkingclosertohim.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-birthday-elijah.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2011. My son is 4 years old today. I can hardly believe it. He has a calander in his room that has special things you can put on it for Holidays and stuff, and I put a birthday candle on it for the 18th, and I put the Labor Day thing on there for the 16th and told him that was when I went to the hospital to have him! It is the first year he has understood what that means because he remembers when he had to wake up really early the morning I went to the hospital to have Aliyah! He also ...

walking closer: August 2010
http://walkingclosertohim.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant. I have 5 1/2 weeks left until our baby is due. I had a doctor's appointment today and I asked a million and one questions about when I should go to the hospital, what contractions feel like (because I truly didn't get any with Elijah until I was in the hospital and I don't remember them now! I already have my diaper bag for Aliyah. It is packed and ready to go! It's crazy knowing that! All this to say.I'm READY! I can't wait to meet her and hold her...

http://walkingclosertohim.blogspot.com/2011/01/back-at-it-again.html
Friday, January 7, 2011. Back at it again. I have really gotten out of the habit of blogging! I don't expect a lot of people to read this or anything, but I truly do enjoy writing these posts, so I am going to try my best to keep up with it this year! We had a really great Christmas this year! There's PRESENTS under the tree! It was so exciting for us, too! He loved his toys and played with them all day! We were very happy that we could see them and say Merry Christmas in person! Some of the highlights i...
