Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Ten 2016 releases I meant to read. It's time for a Top Ten Tuesday. This week I'll be looking back at books that I intended to read last year but never did.because I'm awful and a procrastinator and also rely on reviews so it's hard to know what releases to look forward to. And I don't read ARCs so I'm at the mercy of people enjoying things before me. This week's topic: Top Ten 2016 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To (But TOTALLY plan to). Dark Matter / Blake Crouch.

Margins: Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway // more like Emmy & her irrational and seriously overprotective parents

http://emilyseals.blogspot.com/2017/01/emmy-oliver-by-robin-benway-more-like.html

Sunday, January 8, 2017. Emmy and Oliver by Robin Benway / more like Emmy and her irrational and seriously overprotective parents. I have been waiting to read Emmy and Oliver for over a year. I actually got it two Christmases ago (in 2015). I waited to read it, though, because I read Eleanor and Park in January and thought they might be too similar to read back-to-back. I ended up waiting an entire year. I actually finished Emmy and Oliver exactly one year after I finished Eleanor and Park.). Emmy and Ol...

Margins: June 2016

http://emilyseals.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 30, 2016. Camp NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow and this is me panicking. I've done NaNoWriMo four years in a row, but I've never done Camp NaNoWriMo before. I guess I didn't know too much about it, and I was kind of put off about being in a cabin. To finish my WIP. Desperately. I've been working on this same story since NaNo 2014. It's time to hammer out Part 3 so I can stick it in editing and start on something fresh. Husband: So what is Camp NaNoWriMo? Where do you go? What's your word goal?

Number of Books Read:. 17 ( 1 TBR). I dare you to find ANY list that doesn’t feature Ms Rowling today. Obviously I’ve read the. Number of Books Read:.

Sunday, May 3, 2015. End of the semester happy things. Rewatching my favorite tv shows (this week, it's Doctor Who and Merlin). Crowding as many people into one car as possible to visit Chick-Fil-A. Field trips that end in creek splashing, sunsets, and campfires. Touring Grounds for Sculpture, a beautiful sculpture garden. Playing card games outside for hours after finals are over. Eating real food in a real house thanks to some kind profs. Blossoming trees all along the main campus walkway. Thank you fo...

Why I Don’t Request ARCs | The Quiet People

http://www.thequietpeople.com/why-i-dont-request-arcs

Why I Don’t Request ARCs. August 13, 2015. Let’s talk like real grown up book bloggers (for once! The thing with blogging is that it’s always changing. And sadly, gone are the days when blogs were just a hobby – now they’re all shiny photos and magazine quality articles. And sponsored product reviews. Lots and lots of sponsored product reviews. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes me uncomfortable. Plus, you know, I really like to avoid talking to people. 8211; I buy books I like anyway.

Emily's Early Retirement

The diary of a girl from South Wales attempting to find a life beyond the mundane. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. The dangers of underutilisation. My ex colleague used to jokingly call me Marvin, because whenever I had a moan at work he said it would start along the lines of "I've got a brain the size of a planet and all they've got me doing is.". That always made me laugh. Marvin the paranoid android, from The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. That's the easy answer. Let's leave it there. Oh Emily, why?
