Yesterday I went to the optician, popped into my new classroom, went for a cheeky Wetherspoons lunch, came home, did a touch of school work, made some sausage and lentil casserole before pub quizzing it up in the evening. Who has time for teaching in amongst a schedule like that? I used blue foxy fabric from the wonderful FabricLand and a tote bag tutorial from Skip to my Lou. Check out my top stitching! Sunday, 30 November 2014. Free Pattern: Mini Crochet Stockings. Over the last couple of weeks, I've had a couple of weekend train trips into London. Crocheting on public transport is lovely. Even in the South East, you get smiles from random strangers. Last weekend, one woman even said, "Seeing you crocheting has made my day! These felt number ones are wee token gifts for my nephew's first birthday party and I'm more than a little pleased with how them. Sunday, 8 March 2015. A Dictionary of Tea Cross Stitch. So a couple of week's ago I finished off my "Dictionary of Tea" cross stitch from Bothy Threads. It's taken me, literally years, to complete. I've pretty much doing an hour or so every so often for at least three years. This cross stitch has moved with me to at least three different homes and I have to say I'm going to miss doing it! Sunday, 22 February 2015. Make Your Own Jewellery Hanger. I know I say this on a fairly regular basis but I think this is one my favourite projects ever! It's certainly up there in terms of actual usefulness and it was so easy to make. I'll tell you how I did it. Finally I hung my hanger up at the edge of my clothes rail and blu-tacked it to the inside edge of the wardrobe so my jewellery wouldn't wobble around too much. I hung my jewellery up and stood back at wonder at my own creative imagination.
