This week, I found a tutorial on framing fiber art pieces. I had never really thought about framing fibers pieces. However, it really seems like a good idea for most pieces. Even pieces like my texture study that has a lot of texture. Framing can help preserve the art, keeping it away from moisture and grease. It also prevents people from touching them with dirty hands. Dyeing and Painting with Coffee. This week I found a tutorial on dyeing fabric as well as painting on fabric with coffee. I love coffee! I love the taste and the smell is just the best. I’ve dyed paper with coffee before, but I would have thought that coffee would be too weak to dye fabric. Guess I was wrong! So I can definitely try this! Some of the artists that I write blogs on use very complex processes that I am not familiar with, Joyce however creates traditional quilts which I too have made.
