Uganda - Summer 2011. Thursday, 30 June 2011. Day 16 - Friday 24th, part 1. Result, and now they know how to protect themselves so they won't catch the virus! We use the ABCDE method when talking about HIV prevention -. B - be faithful. I think this just reiterates that to poretect yourself effectively against HIV you need to know. The facts and all the options available to you. Back to June 30th, I have more to write about this day but must run back to school before I'm missed so will continue later!

Uganda - Summer 2011. Monday, 4 July 2011. Day 17 - Saturday June 24th. After breakfast (pancakes for me, beers for others.) we opted to travel out to a bar on an island about half a kilometre away. About half the group opted for canoes and more beers and the other half (me included) decided to brave the swim which was pretty exciting and not nearly as difficult as I expected it to be, although Eliab did have to pull me out the water at the other end! Alright for the people who took canoes!

I decided to go into school anyway, struggled through my first lesson but luckily Henry and Lucy were about to help out with my second lesson, we had a lot of fun throwing a frisbee around the classroom to demonstrate directional vocab in english. Uganda - Summer 2011. Monday, 4 July 2011. Day 16 - Friday 24th, part 2. After a few (terrifying) hours on the road we arrived at a town called Kabale. As we were waiting outside the bank a very strange thing happened - we saw other muzungus! It sounds ridiculous but we actually couldn't stop staring at them, very weird seeing other white people again. We visited a supermarket to stock up on dairy milk and vodka - clearly essential items! We put up our tents by the lake and then it was straight in!

Söndag 11 juli 2010. Dom här klistermärkena fick elvis i ett dinosaurieägg, är det bara jag som tycker de känns lite politiskt inkorrekt? Tisdag 6 juli 2010. Idag har vi varit i furuvik hela dagen! Det har varit en riktig kanondag fylld av massa skoj! Fina vännen maria and jag. En riktig bjässe till apa! Och vissa kan visst inte slita sig. Det vart några svängar i "glada tåget" som elvis kallar den. Ja jag kände mig en smula felplacerad. Lever mig in i en fånges öde. Elvis vill ju så klart göra som mamma.
