We expect to start feeds this afternoon and continue to wean meds and the vent. Two of the four chest tubes are out and her drainage has been minimal in the remaining ones. She's producing pee like a champ and overall things look very positive.

We continue the migration of IV medicines to oral with the last one being the Lasix. She currently gets motrin and tylenol through the NG tube to help with the pain from the incision. Overall she is still making wonderful progress with the only minor setback being the breathing, which is not too abnormal since she is only 5 days out from surgery.

After getting the call at 10am that she would be taken for surgery around 11am and rushing up to see and hold her we were notified at 11:15am that an emergency case had bumped her surgery until tomorrow. She has gotten an additional echo-cardiogram today to confirm that things still look the same. Emma-Kate is doing fine, no changes to meds or anything. Her numbers are still good and she is breathing more comfortably than we've ever seen her breathe.
