Wednesday, 29 February 2012. Images used for colour, transparency and bump maps. This image of lace is from http:/ www.cgtextures.com/ and is intended for the belt of the puppet. As well as the bump map, I am also able to use this image for the transparency map, however the belt itself will be grey rather than white as above. I have used this method before for the animation of a spider that I entered to the eDvard competition, so was comfortable animating in this and was confident in modelling the joints well for enough flexibility in the character. After creating the hair, selecting the start and rest curves and running a few simulations of the hair for the reference character file, T and I went through various colour and curliness tests, the results of which are below:.
