To tell you the truth, things have been absolutely crazy around here. Many things have happened this month, so here goes. We also got some great news about our new baby cousin, Aamina! http://learningfourlife.blogspot.com/2011/11/halloween.html
Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. The weekend before Halloween Daddy helped the girls carve their pumpkins. Zora dug right in to help clean out the "pumpkin guts", but Lily REFUSED. Daddy carved and Zora cleaned them out. They each got to pick what their pumpkin's face would look like. They each drew their face on a sheet of paper then Joel drew it onto the pumpkin for them and cut it out. Zora cleaning out "pumpkin guts". We ended the evening with a...

Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. Christmas Time Is Here :-). Our Christmas festivities have been in full swing around here. Last week the girls made ornaments for all the grandparents. This is an annual tradition. Each year we do a different kind of ornament. One year we did salt clay ornaments, another year was shrinky-dinks, and this year we did painted wooden ornaments. And they love the Zhu Zhu Pet game! Twas The Night Before Christmas Book.

Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. I have to share some funny things that my kids said this week. Her answer was, "I DON'T WANT TO GROW UP! Da in a sassy way. Hate not to peaple. This means we can't hate people). What she meant was crap). This also is said with attitude). This actually isn't a complete list because there are obviously a lot of other words that aren't kind, but it was a good start and we all got a good laugh :-). On the uneven bars.

Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. Praise Him In The Storm. When it rains it pours. Have you ever heard that expression? The storm may be raging, but I will continue to praise Him! He didn't listen. He had his own ideas. Are absolutely wonderful and I'm sure we'll be back when we can spend more than one night. Each cabin is beautiful and spacious with a huge king size bed, double jacuzzi, oversized shower with multiple massaging heads, full kitche...

We got two precious little babies and have loved an nurtured them since they were about 7 weeks old. My girls have become such good buddies with them. They love on them and play with them as if they were human.and truth be told, I'm not sure that the dogs even realize that they are dogs! Monday was my sweet Lily's 5th birthday!

The Texas Gang: Hot Summer Night
http://texasgilmore3.blogspot.com/2010/08/hot-summer-night.html
Wednesday, August 18, 2010. What to do on a hot summer night? Play in the sprinkler of course! This sprinkler came with little balls that you put in the side and the water in the middle pushes it right back out. If it sitting just right, the water will spit the ball out and hold it up in the air. The picture below, she went to look down the middle to see where the ball was and the water got her right in the eye! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We love you all! Life With the Schwisow's.

Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. Flowers Make Me Smile. It's true. Red roses are actually the way to my heart and my husband has learned that lesson well. However, there is another little "flower" that steals my heart in a completely different way. I tell you what, this little girl beats all I've ever seen. She is the most unique kid I've ever met. Her personality is so different. Sometimes she is very tom-boyish; other times she is a very girly-girl.

Teaching Heart, Mind and Soul. For now and eternity - through Christ-centered education. A Day At Rose Hill School. Today we took a very exciting field trip to Rose Hill Pioneer School in Perry, OK. The school is still set up as if it were 1910, and the students who visit get to spend a school day just as if they lived in 1910. After the kids explored the things in the wooden crate we set them to work on some activities. First, they had to learn how to wash their clothes THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY! Some other...
