Design Practice: End of Module Evaluation
http://e-price0811-dp.blogspot.com/2010/12/end-of-module-evaluation.html
Wednesday, 15 December 2010. End of Module Evaluation. I have used this module mainly to improve my practical and production skills. Over the last two years I feel that my design process and research methods have improved dramatically and in some briefs I have found that my ideas/designs have been let down by the execution. In preparation for FMP I wanted to improve these skills so that the overall design process was stronger. Overall I am happy with the progress I have made during this module. I thi...

PPD: August 2010
http://e-price0811-ppd.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 24 August 2010. Selection of infographics, inspired by films. I want to look more at infographics, and these seem like a really good way of doing it. Taking the events of films and mapping them, almost like a timeline. This Pulp Fiction one is pretty interesting the way they've used a line for each of the characters and displays their stories. As is this. I really love these examples that clear and funny at the same time. Friday, 20 August 2010. Saturday, 7 August 2010. Adding a drop shadow to t...

Sunday, 29 November 2009. How to promote myself. Continuing with the possibility of designing museum displays/exhibitions/galleries I am considering how to market myself. PR - Again the volunteer work could offer good PR, although this is time consuming and I would need to be careful not to start offering design work for free. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). PPD: May 2010
http://e-price0811-ppd.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 25 May 2010. I've updated my portfolio, following the latest brief. I think this version has much more impact than my previous one. I've also changed my personal identity, it's still a work in progress but that other one was driving me mad. I actually changed it to this order:. Since i think the NHM is my strongest work. Enterprise and Innovation: SWOT Analysis
http://e-price0811-ei.blogspot.com/2009/12/swot-analysis.html
Monday, 7 December 2009. Of all the sites, Studio Two seemed to promote their work a lot more, however the pages were very busy and sometimes it took a lot of searching a page to find what was being looked for. Studio One's was very minimal and by using the menu information was easily found. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Design Practice: Photography Brief - on hold
http://e-price0811-dp.blogspot.com/2010/12/photography-brief-on-hold.html
Tuesday, 14 December 2010. Photography Brief - on hold. As part of my skill set brief one of the briefs was to spend a day in photography learning about the equipment and how to take effective product shots. I wanted to learn:. How to set up the lighting and flash. What kind of backdrops for suitable for different products. Good ways to photograph flat prints. How to achieve a birdseye angle and still have control over it. Using different lenses and macro shots. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
