Setting up our new post-Athens life in Seattle. Saturday, 12 May 2012. I'm realizing lately what great lessons I learned from all the Greek food traditions. Hours spent lingering over a meal, the rituals of the mezes (or appetizers with drinks), the family feasts with the Hatzigianni and Manousaridis clans. I especially think of the Greek Evangelical pastor's wives, who were so proficient at hosting - such inspiring women! I wonder why sharing meals isn't such a part of life here? 12 May 2012 at 21:36.

It was a year ago we were cramming our last things into bags and boxes, preparing for our big trans-Atlantic move! Excitement, tears, hopes, dreams, fears. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Musings on the Greek good. There is much I'll miss about Greece when I go. Here's a few from the A-List. Y call it "MWJ". Muwaj". It stands for "Mornings with Jesus". It involves relaxed mornings, a cup. Some reading. Staying home until late morning is an infrequent occurrence in my homeland and will be. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. I really am going to Greece. In ONE WEEK! I leave Jan 6. This week's challenge is to pack all my worldly possessions into 2 bags, soak up time with my family and mentally prep for the adventure ahead. Hmmm, I'll be busy this week. Also, I just read this book by David Batstone. So good. Great explanation of slavery in our time. Monday, April 26, 2010. T was so great to have. My family here in Athens with me for Easter week! It makes it feel more like home when your people are able to see where you live and work. Monday, 18 August 2014. Protein Pancakes Made From Sweet Potato. I love these pancakes. They were not dry like many other protein pancake recipes and were actually very moist. Since they are made from sweet potato they are extra healthy for those who are fitness inclined. I added a little extra cinnamon on top and they were ready to do. 75g of skinless cook and mashed sweet potato. 1/4 cup oat flour (you can make this by putting some oats in a blender or food processor). 1/3 cup liquid egg whites.
