Student Files & Forms. Mentors are an essential part of the United Space School program. Individuals are chosen from USS and ISS alumni as well as educators from around the globe. The mentors are in charge of guiding their team to successful completion of the project goals, and creating an atmosphere of focus and drive. Student Files & Forms. Hosting young people from another culture can provide untold benefits. In addition to gaining first hand knowledge of another culture, the host family will serve as good-will ambassadors for American culture. Host families are not expected to provide private bedrooms or bathrooms, but will need to provide transportation to various after school activities as well as to and from school at UHCL each day.
