Other Places to Visit. The capital of Girona province is not just the largest city on Costa Brava, it is also among the most interesting places to visit. Reaching Girona from Empuriabrava is easy - you may drive by local roads or highway, just follow the signs. The highway AP7 is faster but the local road (N-II) goes through picturesque surroundings and small towns, so it may be quite interesting to take this road if you have time. Other Places to Visit.

Other Places to Visit. The peninsula of Cap de Creus lies to the North from Empuriabrava and the Bay of Roses. The cape is the easternmost spur of Pyrenees which is now a protected natural erserve (Parc natural de Cap de Creus). It is very interesting from biological and geological points of view and the area became very popular for geological field cources thanks to its accessibility and fantastic location. Ironically, Dalis popularity is much higher judging by a number of guided tours compared to the thousands years of local history which tracks back from ancient times. Famous artist spent the major part of his life here and you may visit three main museums in the area in the towns of Cadaques (Portlligat), Figueres and Pubol. The most visited museum is in Figueres.
