2016年12月1日， 细胞 (Cell) 子刊 当代生物学 (Current Biology) 杂志在线发表了我所王桂荣研究团队题为 Molecular Basis of Alarm Pheromone Detection in Aphids 的研究论文，该研究通过比较基因组学结合神经电生理记录等技术揭示了蚜虫感受报警信息素的神经和分子新机制。 通过比较基因组学结合基因体外功能研究揭示了嗅觉受体 Odorant receptor 5 (OR5) 用于感受EBF，进一步将蚜虫OR5基因转入到果蝇触角特定神经中，该神经获得了对EBF的灵敏反应，证实了OR5是EBF 的受体。 文章链接 http:/ www.cell.com/current-biology/fulltext/S0960-9822(16)31198-8.
