Reflections of a Mommy. A little different than the typical mommy blog! August 7, 2012. I heard her crying out from the next room 2:17 AM. At first, my body couldn’t move because she almost always sleeps through the night. But we aren’t at home. Could she really waking up in the middle of the night? Couldn’t be, but when the crying continued I realized Isabelle was awake. I think I fell back to sleep by 3:30. My alarm went off right at five. It feels as if I barely got any rest last night. That Girl . . .: 10 Days of No School
http://thatgirlis.blogspot.com/2012/10/10-days-of-no-school.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2012. 10 Days of No School. And if that wasn't enough, school was cancelled Monday and Tuesday for Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully, it wasn't bad for us - we never lost power and only had about 2 inches of rain. And little j felt well enough to play with her friends and go to riding team. She should be on the mend now. One of our major concerns was that she lost 5 pounds while she was sick. And the first thing she wanted to eat when she felt better was salad! Who is That Girl? My Sole Sister: December 2011
http://mysolesister.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. I am not going to write another post about how lame and unmotivated I am; I've decided enough with the self-loathing already. I'm almost forty and I've done some pretty kick-ass things and been through some stuff, but my modus operandi has been to berate myself, flogging and lashing in all manner of a monk in that Name of the Rose. And Slow Fat Triathalete. Links to this post. Saturday, December 10, 2011. Or as it's ...

My Sole Sister: Take 2
http://mysolesister.blogspot.com/2012/01/take-2.html
Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. This week I plan on one more outdoor jog Friday, and after that, it will be back to my regular work schedule. I know that it will be feasible to get in at least one weekend run before my husband goes to work. I just need to get myself motivated to do so consistently without letting obstacles get in the way, such as sleeping in or staying warm and cozy inside the house. Posted by Amanda Villagómez. You can go for the gold, or you can simply set out to achieve something you never dreamed possible (even if no one else notices). My Sole Sister: January 2012
http://mysolesister.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Friday, January 13, 2012. The "Why make time to run? Question can always be answered by a simple statement - it feels great. Yet, obviously, I still struggle making it a regular part of my life. I always enjoy inspirations that come at just the right time to help me keep working toward running more consistently. Lately three have been standing out. I have been reading Slow Fat Triathlete. The second blog that caught my attention was one that a sc...

My Sole Sister: August 2011
http://mysolesister.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Friday, August 26, 2011. I Feel the Need. This week during my speed workout, I felt like I had a total breakthrough. It was probably the best speed workout I've had to date, although it was fairly short. I always struggled with my speed days during marathon training and, frankly, usually ended up doing an interval run instead of what was assigned. This time around, I've promised to follow Mr. Higdon's plan. 7x400 That sounds so easy, right? I've ...

Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Friday, October 7, 2011. Shake that Body For Me. Website and put the month of September in my cart. It only took one week before I went back and paid for October as well (and earned November for free because I'm out of control). My Sole Sister: June 2011
http://mysolesister.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Three sisters, separated by miles but joined at the laces. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. My bestie coming in on the last tenth of a mile. I'm totally jealous of those quads! Finally, a post about the marathon! It's been about a week and a half since I embarked on my biggest physical challenge to date. I would absolutely say that it competes with labor and delivery for physical and mental strength and endurance required. I can't run a marathon! That's a long, long, long way to run! Then added 'unless you're jus...
