Pastor john who is our host gave us lots of info and is so passionate about the ministry in kargi. Monday, December 13, 2010. It was "Jamhuri" yesterday (Sunday 12th; Kenya independence day). It's a public holiday today! Enjoying our time with various mnistries and being inspired by micro-enterprises and micro-finance initiatives. God is moving here through our brothers and sisters in powerful and practical ways. Thursday, December 16, 2010. The road to Marsibit. We set out for Marsibit yesterday and stopped in a town called Isiolo for lunch. This was my first encounter in Kenya with real poverty while we had previously driven past kibera isiolo seemed different, it was the first time I had seen kids with dirty and torn clothes and no shoes.
